＜あらすじ＞
遠州浜松の城下外れに、鎌田孫次郎という浪人が越して来た。
年の頃二十八九であろう、上背のある立派な体つきで、色の浅黒い、眼の涼しい、浜松城下を通して珍しいような美男である。
孫次郎は米の一升買いから八百屋の買出しまで自分で行う。朝早くから洗濯をしているのを見た者もある。訳をたずねると、妻は我儘者で朝寝がしたいのだろうと言う。来客があっても、頭が痛むと言って出て来ない妻の代りに孫次郎が茶を淹れていた。
孫次郎が移って来てから十日ほどで、「女房に甘次郎」「甘田甘次郎先生」などという評判が忽ち付近に広まっていった。©2021 PanRolling Historical Fiction
