【チェ・ゲバラ 略歴】
1928年アルゼンチンのロサリオ生まれ。
本名はエルネスト・ラファエル・ゲバラ・デ・ラ・セルナ（Ernesto Rafael Guevara de la Serna）。チェはキューバ人同志がつけたあだ名。
キューバの前国家元首フィデル・カストロとともにキューバ革命に参加。キューバのゲリラ指導者。新政権下では内政、外交ともに重要な役割を果たす。1967年 ボリビアの政府軍との戦いで死亡。最期の言葉は、射殺を躊躇する兵士に向けて放った「落ち着け、そしてよく狙え。お前はこれから一人の人間を殺すのだ」である。
