 江戸内藤新宿橋本屋の遊女白糸と情死し，家名断絶となったと伝えられる武士。詳細は不明だが，天保～嘉永期(1830‐54)に流行唄となり，瞽女（ごぜ）唄のヤンレイクドキや盆踊唄にうたわれ，また実録本にも行われて著名であった。その歌詞は〈花のエエ花のお江戸のその町々に，さても名高き評判がござる，ところ四谷の新宿辺に，軒を並べて女郎屋がござる，紺ののれんに桔梗の紋は，音に聞えし橋本屋とて，あまた女郎衆が皆玉揃ひ，中に全盛白糸様は年は十九で当世姿，立てば芍薬座れば牡丹，我も我もと名指しで上る，わけてお客のあるその中に，ところ青山百人町に鈴木主水といふ侍は，女房持にて子供が二人……〉。Public Domain (P) 2016 Audible, Inc.
