About this listen
Tonny Robbins, a specialist in money—yes, just as it sounds, because there are specialists for everything—is someone who became interested in the impact of saving and the implications of managing resources. He states that what people fail to realize is that, at its core, money is power.
Power for what? Power to free ourselves from the bondage of financial dependence, from living paycheck to paycheck, without understanding that money is not a matter of magic. As the author of the same book says: “Success has its keys. People don’t succeed because they’re lucky; they do things differently.” This means we must change the way we think about money, or otherwise, we will remain trapped in the same pattern of deficits, debt, and scarcity.
Some of the suggestions offered in the book may seem challenging, but it is essential to start somewhere. As the Chinese thinker Lao-Tzu once said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” It is the small steps we take every day that will lead us along a path free of debt, financial strain, and the constant worry of having to hide because we “owe a candle to every saint.”
This book began as a challenge posed by a student in the “Family Financial Education” course, part of the master’s program in Family Counseling at Logos University, FL, where the author has the privilege of teaching.
Dr. Miguel Ángel Núñez, an educator with an extensive career, has shared his expertise in numerous countries through seminars on education, sexuality, marriage, and relationships, both in person and via his YouTube channel. This work is yet another contribution to his vast literary production, which already includes 96 books. Several of his works have been translated into various languages, including Portuguese, English, Swedish, Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Italian, and French, among others.
