Story
Who is Audrey Hoedemaker? It's a question her sister Maureen has heard more times than she can count, and she doesn't know what the short answer would be. Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Story
When I was a little girl, I dreamed a handsome knight would come and rescue me from my wretched mother. He'd ride up on his white steed and break the curse I've been fated to carry since the day I was born. Funny how things changed over time, how the fairytale twisted into something far more crooked—and darker—than I ever imagined. In reality, my knight is scarred and broken, living alone in a castle of bones that overlooks the sea. He isn’t searching for me. He never was.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Sweet
This 2 in 1 audio book was super super sweet for senior citizens, but in actuality, all ages. I’m not even a senior and I enjoyed these stories. After each story there is a “questions for discussion” , which was fun to do and I feel like older people would have fun looking back on their life and experiences and revisiting them. Plus cognitively, I think it would be great for the brain. So many cute stories. Great job! Would recommend for anyone, especially seniors!

Stories That Stay with You
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this book really stuck with me. The stories felt real, like ones you’d hear from a grandparent or an old friend over coffee. Some made me laugh, others made me think about my own life. I liked that I could read one or two at a time and always walk away feeling something—comfort, nostalgia, or just a little joy. It’s a simple, feel-good read that I’m happy to have on my shelf.

A Cozy Read for Any Time
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but these stories really hit home. They’re the kind of tales that remind you of simpler times, real-life experiences, and moments worth remembering. I appreciated that each one was short enough to enjoy in a single sitting, but still meaningful. It’s a great book to pick up whenever you need a little escape. If you like heartwarming, easy reads, this is definitely worth checking out.
