About this listen
Our United States is in fact a great tossed salad of different and sometimes conflicting races, sexual preferences, social standings, and levels of economic opportunities. We have a lot to talk about and in our Journal we are working with a base commitment to inclusiveness, transparency, and truthfulness. None of that will advance far unless our writers . . . and our readers . . . communicate with old-fashioned fairness, kindness, and civility.
This 2022 Yearbook contains all of that material between one volume. Each issue in the Yearbook focuses on a small slice of Americana. Each of the seven issues has very different material reflecting diverse views. We talk about the origin of Kentucky Fried Chicken, the town of Port Clinton, Ohio (“The Wall Eye Capital”), American patriotism, Alabama, Louisiana, and Elvis in Mississippi. The 3rd issue deals with the way that old-time cowboys lived and the legacies they left us. Then we have plenty of art and poetry sprinkled in, and an issue on the various facets of prayer. We wrapped it up with aspects of celebrating Thanksgiving in issue 6, and we rethought our ideas about Christmas in issue 7
