About this listen
What if we could train our brains to stop weight gain in our quest to be lean, healthy, and fit? Well, we can.
Celebrity trainer and cast member of NBC's Strong, Drew Logan knows firsthand how the brain affects our ability to perform and function at our best. After dying three times in three hours - becoming the world's only known medical case to survive three sudden cardiac arrests - he lost his short-term memory. He could no longer follow the complicated diet and fitness regimens he'd used on himself and his clients. He needed to create something simpler. He was shocked to discover that the resulting program was even more effective than his complicated regimen of the past.
In 25 Days, Drew outlines a unique, multifaceted approach that helps listeners rewrite their neurological patterning - what lies underneath those pesky habits that get in our way over and over again - so that the brain's neural pathways, biochemistry, and hormones work together effectively, seamlessly, and efficiently. He defines what neurological patterns are, how they form, and the reason they're secretly behind why most people fail to lose weight and get in shape. He breaks down these "unhealthy" patterns and shows how to erase them by creating healthier ones with diet, exercise, and a reward system.

There was a lot of great information here, but the supplement is inadequate for an audiobook in this genre. I would be willing to raise my rating if Tantor Media would revise the supplement material. It is a shame that such great info is included but it's essentially useless if it is audio only.
The supplement does not include the recipes in the book. So if you wanted to make any of the items from that chapter you'd have to locate the part of the audio and then take dictation. Yeah - not gonna happen. So, that chapter is entirely useless to me, on par with listening to someone read the phone book beginning with Adams when you need the number for Zeller. Don't release this as an audiobook if it's not equally as good a resource as the print version.
The supplement does not include a description or images of the exercises. They are verbally described in the audio, but at the end of the book when you want to do a workout and you have a list of moves, if you're not sure what a Russian Twist is you have to go to another resource to find it on your own.
The food lists were described in the audio to contain items not in alphabetical order but from best food choices (according to the glycemic index and other considerations) to the not so best choice near the bottom of the list. The supplement seems to have the first few charts in this manner but then the charts for vegetables and fruit and other carbs are in fact alphabetical. For example Bagel is at the top of one list, which I can't imagine is a best choice; even though it's my favorite and I'd love to believe that incorporating more bagels into my life would be a good idea (I wish!).
Aside from my poor supplement gripes there is a ton of great information, backed by scientific studies included in this book. I would give this 4 stars for material if the supplement were revised. The only negative thing I would say is the diet suggestions are one size fits all. There is a suggestion for males and a suggestion for females and no variation accounting for height, lifestyle activity levels, or body size. For such a well researched and thoughtful program I would have expected more.
Lastly, to address some of of the other reviewers here looking for the supplement. You have to visit your Audible Library on the Web to access the pdf. Supplements are not included on the audible app. I also tried to follow the direction suggested in the audio, going to the Tantor site. The information was not there. I contacted the author on twitter (he never replied to me) and then I eventually found the pdf on my account library on the audible website.

Still Type A, Still Needs to Chill
Author claims to be way more laid back and flexible than he used to be. He still has a long way to go. Concept of the program is good but the devil is in the details.

Too much
Nothing against the book. It’s probably great for a 30 something ex athlete that like to micro analyze their stuff. I’m 62 and 12 years removed from my only marathon. I don’t have the time or desire to do what he’s recommended.

Not a Good Audio Book, Buying Kindle
I like the book, but it does not make a good audio book. There is a 1 hour chapter of recipes! Reads all the ingredients and the instructions for making recipe. Boring!!

No PDF Files
The book provides details that are too tough to follow but gives info on how to access them in a online PDF that would be included if you did not buy a digital download audio book.
The instructions don't work. Disappointing!!
I went to Drews page and going through the Contact there email - I simply get a auto-reply that the person is no longer working. The story sounding interesting - - but now I just want my money back.

Disappointed in the supplemental pdf
I rarely write reviews but I felt that I needed to for this book. The concept makes sense but the audio version does not. It would be helpful if the pdf included a chart on how to do the exercises that have to be followed each day. I am not an exercise expert and will need to google how to do each type of exercise that I am not familiar which will be time consuming. I am a visual person so listening how it to do an exercise, then trying to remember the steps for each different one when that exercise comes up in the program will be difficult. The 25 day plan is supposed to simplify the process but the lack of written detail complicates it. The chapters are just numbered without titles, unless you click on each one. Also, the recipes that they spend an hour reading each measure, ingredient and instructions are not in the pdf. It doesn't make sense to read them and not have them in writing. This chapter actually put me to sleep. To figure out where the recipe is in that chapter, re-listen to it and write everything down is too time consuming and just doesn't make sense. I figured it would be in the pdf which, unfortunately downloaded after I listened to the book. I am not sure what is in the written book but maybe that would be a better option for people who are more visual. I want to try the program but with the audio version may be more trouble than it is worth but I will give it a shot.

It’s a book on stuff you are aware of
No reason to purchase as there is nothing here you don’t already know except he want you to do it in 25 day increments.
