This book offers a refreshing take on the triumphs and tribulations of "adulting", all served with a side of laughter. Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Words. We use them all the time, every day, mostly without giving them much thought at all. We take for granted that they’re here at our disposal whenever we need them. But if you’ve ever wished you could communicate more effectively, words are the place to start. It’s incumbent upon you to choose the best words to accomplish your goals, because how you choose to communicate influences—well, everything! The power of communication shapes our professional goals, our relationships, and our lives—so the words we choose to use carry a great deal of power.

You are not alone!
I am 26 so this book caught my attention, I find that very rarely I come across books that are geared towards people in their late 20's. This is book is about how to navigate life in this awkward stage of growing up. Most people expect us to have our lives completely figured out by now when in reality, it is the middle stage between still having a good amount of energy, curiosity, and a dash of immaturity—but also having a bit more confidence about yourself and your life than you did 5 years earlier. This book helped me further ingrain into my head that people you knew are going to be polarized to different extremes and make you think that you have to choose a side. It is easy to get caught up in other people's expectations of you but in reality, you are free to navigate life the way you choose—even if you aren't quite 100% sure what it is yet (or maybe you choose to never have a 100% stable life, and that's okay). The content is delivered in the author's signature quirky "older sibling giving you advice" fashion and it is a nice change of pace from the "mega authority-figure" style of writing that most authors have. This book serves as a great reminder that I am doing just fine, and I am grateful to have come across it and Taylor's works.

good read
Now i've past my 20s and i wish i found this book sooner. Even now many of the things in this book are still beneficial to me. Growing up is a life long journey with all the lessons to learn along the way. When we are little, we have schools and teachers that would tell us things. when we grow up, and after we leave schools, it's on ourselves to continue the leaerning journey and to master a lot of the skills that weren't even taught in schools. This book talks about friendship, the change of friendship while we grow up. and most importantly the work life balance. i remember once i heard, it's never a work life balance, it's work life trade off. so have fun reading / listening to it. i really enjoyed my time listening to this book.

It addresses everything from career uncertainty to evolving relationships, while giving insightful perspective on making it through these formative years with your sanity intact. Highly recommend!

Sweet and fun
This one really is great. There is a ton of humor while taking on a very serious topic. You will def finish this audiobook with a ton of ideas to try, and a little comfort knowing you're not alone. And, the narrator is fanTAStic. Recommend!

Wonderful book
If you're in your late twenties and feeling like life is throwing you curveballs left and right, this book is the book you didn't know you needed. From someone in their early thirties, let me tell you why this book is an absolute gem. As someone who's just out of the tumultuous terrain of their late twenties, this book resonated with me on a profound level. It's like having a heart-to-heart conversation with a close friend who just gets it - the uncertainty, the pressure, and the occasional existential crisis that comes with this stage of life. You will not regret picking it up.

Practical advice with generous sprinkles of humour
In a world where adulthood often feels like stumbling through a minefield of responsibilities, this book is a breath of fresh air. It's like having a wise, witty friend by your side, guiding you through the ups and downs of 'adulting' with empathy and laughter. This book is a treasure trove of insights and laughs, a reminder that despite the chaos, there's beauty and humor to be found in navigating the labyrinth of adulthood in your late twenties.
It offers practical advice with a generous sprinkle of humor, making it a joy to read.
