But here is a wonderful caution: you must do more than merely listen to the words; you must feel them, know the truth of them and believe them. Unless the words are believed with utmost faith, no change will take place in your consciousness, and until you change your consciousness, you haven't changed a thing. Hear - feel - know. When Jesus said, "It is done unto you as you believe", he not only announced a law of faith, he explained how it works. If there is a law of faith, it is right where you are, and it will operate like any other law in nature.

The world is a thing of wonder and we should be filled with a greater sense of what is wonderful. But it so happens that in many respects we are still in a primitive stage of development, so that instead of a feeling of reverence and appreciation for the world about us, we inadequately interpret it in terms of the miraculous, the magical, and the mysterious.

I am not alone. Wherever I am, God is. Wherever I go, I go with God. Should traveling be in order, I have no fear, for his love goes before me and prepares the way. Right lodging and perfect meals await me as I need them. I dedicate both my car and the trip to God. His hand is on the wheel and his wisdom assures the smooth operation of the car. His love reaches out to help me through everyone I meet.

There is a light which lighteth every man who cometh into the world. That light is the light of truth at the center of my being now. As I still my mind and look sincerely within myself for the right understanding, I discover the voice of truth speaking in a language which I can understand. This clear understanding is my guidance.

Throughout the ages people have prayed, and you and I know that no sincere prayer was ever uttered without helping the one who gave it. We know that faith has done more than any other one thing to keep hope alive. We know that always in times of stress people have turned to god. But we really want to know something beyond this. We want to discover the secret of prayer as an effective force which actually can accomplish definite results.

I speak my word for absolute right action. Whatever may be my problem, I know that it is an effect and not a cause. This which I call my problem is the result of my thinking. I now change this way of thinking and turn to the infinite law of mind and to the presence of God, knowing that here is the source and the substance of all things. I speak this word knowing that any undesirable condition no longer exists. Only that which conforms to the nature of God can manifest in my experience.

From the depths of our hearts, we do thank God for all the good there is. We know and understand that gratitude opens the very windows of heaven! Thanksgiving opens every channel of life, health, happiness, and abundance. Every door opens to the grateful heart. Be grateful today! List all the things you can be grateful for and watch how the Law of Increase and Multiplication will supply your every need. Make gratitude an unbreakable habit. Jesus was grateful for the “ despised” loaves and fishes...and they increased and fed a multitude.

Open your spiritual eyes; listen with the inner ear; open your minds. What is it that we are to open our eyes, our ears and our minds to? What is it that we must see, hear, and understand? It is something Jesus learned through silent communion with life. The inward ear of Jesus was in tune with the divine harmony; his inward eye looked upon a spiritual universe; his human consciousness was transmuted into divine understanding as he sought for and found his union with life.

There is, in the universe, a spirit that is self-knowing, and a law that is not self-knowing, but self-propelling, which obeys spirit. We are self-knowing centers in a law that has no volition other than to obey our impulses. We are ignorant of this and consequently bring upon ourselves, through a direct act of law, all the experiences that we suffer. Should we completely change our mode of thinking, we would completely change our environment.

Success Is self-ordained. No one in this world can make you a success but you. You and you alone control, through the constant and positive action of your mind, the extent and degree of your success. God gave you the power of desire - but you have to use it. And when you start using it toward the success you want, you’ll be amazed at the quick and wonderful things that will happen in your life. Get back in the driver’s seat.

Today we are going to see the effect that our thoughts can have on our lives. What do you think life holds in store for you? Do you look forward to success and happiness? Is yesterday a happy memory? And what about today? Did you ever think that the only yesterday you can live over again is in your own mind, and the only tomorrow you can live is also in your own mind? Your yesterdays, then are but memories, and your tomorrows anticipations.

God, Divine Mind, is the everlasting creator of my being and all being. My creator lives within me and endows me with new life each day and always. This creative mind is constantly bringing new forms, new ideas, new inspirations to replace old ones. The life-force of the infinite in me, never stands still, waits, lingers, nor even pauses. I know I live in a universe of everlasting right action, movement, change, and perpetual progress.

The fundamental truth - life is what you make it - is basic and essential to a personal idea of successful living. At the heart of the Science of Mind philosophy is a practical and direct approach to spirituality. It invites us to meet life not with fear but with excitement and a sense of adventure; with the attitude that anyone who understands the Science of Mind can apply its ideas to create beneficial changes in their life.

The action of God takes place through this book, and all who listen will be permanently improved. Truth reveals itself to the ready mind and the open heart. God, the One Mind, is both the writer and the listener. Divine ideas are its only activity.
