About this listen

What is the state bird of Oklahoma? How many birds call Oklahoma home? Where can you go in Oklahoma to see fascinating birds? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this book is for you....

50 Things to Know About Birds in Oklahoma, by Kevin Flanagan, offers an approach to enjoying and appreciating birds that most books on birds in the state of Oklahoma overlook.

Most books on birds tell you to how to identify birds and may provide very generalized range maps. Although there's nothing wrong with that, this book takes an approach of exploring both the state’s wonders and its avian residents.

In this audio, you'll discover favorite places to visit and enjoy birds and their environment. This book will help you appreciate the varied and delightful natural wonders of the state. By the time you finish this book, you will know the answers to the above questions, and many more. So grab your copy today. You'll be glad you did.

The information in this book was good, and the author clearly enjoyed the craft of birding, bringing an infectious joy to his reading. But I can't help but feel that the fact that this is an audio medium was neglected some. It really was a missed opportunity to skip adding in bird call recordings. The reader tried his best, but in this case, that was more amusing than helpful.

Good information but a missed opportunity
