About this listen
Daniel is in a tight spot. He needs a job as soon as possible to pay for his rent and his motorcycle loan. He loves dancing, but he has a bad habit of flirting with everyone he meets. He lost his last gig at a nightclub because he couldn’t stop flirting and dating his co-workers and customers. He wants a daddy boyfriend more than anything, but he knows he has to focus on his career first. He swears to himself that he will stop dating and just dance at his new job at the Glitter Box Club, a notorious gay hotspot for the rich and powerful. But his resolve is tested when he meets the owner of the club, Mr. Baranov.
Mr. Baranov is a cold and ruthless man. He runs the Glitter Box Club with an iron fist, and he doesn’t tolerate any mistakes from his employees. He is also a member of a notorious Russian mob family, and everyone in the city knows better than to cross him. He has no interest in romance or commitment. He only dates the dancers at his club for fun, and he makes sure they know it’s nothing serious. He never expects to feel anything for anyone until he saw Daniel Sparks dancing on the bar top.
During the Christmas holidays, Mr. Baranov created an online auction for toys. All the daddy gentlemen from the Glitter Box Club donate one toy and any boy customer or boy employee who wants a daddy can try to win a particular toy by filling out a form with their name and address. If they win the toy, the daddy who donates it will deliver it on Christmas Eve. The boys don’t know who donated what toy. Daniel expects a toy on Christmas Eve, but he gets much more.
Daniel and Mr. Baranov are drawn to each other like magnets, but they both have secrets and enemies who could destroy their lives.
Daniel is part of A Daddy for Christmas, a multi-author series. All the books are standalones, but each Daddy has a unique gift for his wonderful boy (or boys). Except all boys know that sometimes Santa gets it wrong, and it's going to take a very special Daddy to make it right. So why not stay and listen to them all?

The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

okay
This story doesn't have much for me to brag about. It was good. Not great but not bad. Maybe if the narration was better I would have been into it more and not want to go to sleep.

Loved it
I loved this book. James Talbot does a incredible job bringing this story to life. His voice is perfect. Daniel needs this dancing job at the Glitter Box Club. His rent and motorcycle payments are behind. He also needs a Daddy but knows he must take care of things first. Mr. Baranov will hopefully be his boss if he gets the job. Mr. Baranov doesn't tolerate mistakes or excuses. Will Daniel get the job or maybe a Daddy for Christmas?

4.5 stars for a great narrative.
4⭐️ Stars Story, and 4.5 Stars Audio Narrated by James Talbot
4 Stars Story #Mafia #Christmas #DaddyDom #Submissive #Audio #Ebook #AgeGap #Dramas #Possessiveness #HEA
🎧 4.5 stars Beautifully narrated by Mr Talbot as he tells the story for the characters in this romance.
A gorgeous story for Daniel and Daddy Andrei to find love, but love comes with rules and conditions.
I didn't like Andrei much at first as he wanted to change Daniel for who he was, especially with the silly no flirt rule and other parts in the book.
Their romance wasn't all smooth with life getting in their way especially with Andrei's family dramas.
Daddy and Dom roles get mixed in this book even with Daniel only wanting a Daddy for Christmas.
Daniel, 22 is a new employee at the Glitter box club to dance to earn some money.
Andrei’s family were Russian who had immigrated to keep their family members safe from harm. Andrei operated two clubs without fault or tried to despite his family i.e. his brother getting things majorly wrong as their scenes play out.
Daniel and Andrei meet at the interview where Daniel tries to impress his potential boss. I’ll say Daniel is sure of himself and his abilities to boast to Andrei but he's adorable in doing it. I loved the banter and sassiness from both characters.
Andrei takes the job of a Daddy Dom for Daniel very seriously especially in the bedroom.
Dramas and dangers are included which violence scenes of attacks.
Daniel hated his father with good cause from abuses but he was a high ranking cop, thank goodness he had his brother to look out for him in this.
The scenes play out with both povs told in the story.
This wasn't the traditional christmas story with the added mafia theme with the good guys and the bad guys making troubles.

Two characters with scorching chemistry
Sometimes the characters in a book lodge themselves in my head and I keep thinking about them and wondering what's happening to them and how their relationship is growing and changing long after I've finished the book. Andrei and Daniel are two characters who've done that. There's the story of the possessive mafia boss and the dancer he becomes infatuated with, but there is so much more going on with these two than that description indicates. Both men have family issues that they must deal with both for their individual well being as well as in order to have a relationship, both are incredibly strong-willed and a bit impulsive so we get to see them learn to negotiate and compromise without giving up their core beliefs. Brady spends time putting us inside the minds and hearts of these characters so we feel how difficult their growth is at times and we also feel the exhilaration they feel when they are together. The secondary characters, especially the family ones are given depth and realistic motivations. Some you'll root for and some you'll desperately hope get what's coming to them. From the first time I read this, I couldn't wait to hear Daniel and Andrei come to life on audio. James Talbot has done a stellar job with these two. Their attraction as well as their complications come through so well. A big five stars for this book and performance.
