About this listen

Number-one New York Times best-selling author W. Bruce Cameron once again captures the bravery and determination of a very good dog in the gripping sequel to A Dog’s Way Home, the acclaimed novel that inspired the hit movie!

Bella was once a lost dog, but now she lives happily with her people, Lucas and Olivia, only occasionally recalling the hardships in her past. Then a weekend camping trip turns into a harrowing struggle for survival when the Rocky Mountains are engulfed by the biggest wildfire in American history. The raging inferno separates Bella from her people and she is lost once more.

Alone in the wilderness, Bella unexpectedly finds herself responsible for the safety of two defenseless mountain lion cubs. Now she’s torn between two equally urgent goals. More than anything, she wants to find her way home to Lucas and Olivia, but not if it means abandoning her new family to danger. And danger abounds, from predators hunting them to the flames threatening at every turn.

Can Bella ever get back to where she truly belongs?

A Dog’s Courage is more than a fast-paced adventure, more than a devoted dog’s struggle to survive, it’s a story asking that we believe in our dogs as much as they believe in us.

Another great adventure

Once again, I was captured by Bella, and her adventures. I love the way Bruce writes, and puts a dog’s thoughts into the story. The reader captured the story in a great way, but I was constantly turning the volume up and down. I’m looking forward to the next book!

Oh Bella!

The beautiful story of Bella in “a dog’s journey ,” is continued here. Started off a tiny bit slow, but then Bella once again allows us to feel emotionally connected to characters she speaks to and about! It’s a must, if you have the book

Listening is a different way to enjoy a book but best thing is I can listen anywhere!

I read the first book and found myself chuckling as I read. Listening took some time to get used to but I really enjoyed the “through a dog’s eyes expressions. Those “Incredible Journey” stories are always a special treat.

This was an absolute amazing journey through the life of a dog so dedicated to his master. Great read and a great audible listen.

Too Melodramatic

I love dog stories. I enjoyed W. Bruce Cameron’s previous books, A Dog’s Purpose and A Dog’s Journey. A Dog’s Way Home was ok but I do agree with others that Ann Marie Lee’s voice is really annoying. Took me several times to get through this book because of her narration.
As for the story…..too much like an action movie with too many close calls. And please how many characters can one dog conveniently run into that she’s known before? And in the Rocky Mountains?
What else can I add......there is a dog in the story. That helps a bit.

Attention Dog Lovers

This book was a great listen: alternately heartwarming, funny, sweet, exciting. I recommend it heartily. The writer told the story in the first-person with the dog attempting to make sense of everything that happened from a dog’s point of view. The reader did a fantastic job, using lots of expression.

So intuitive!

W. Bruce Cameron has become my favorite author. No writer comes close to his talent.
