Story
What if Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy spoke honestly to each other in Kent and clarified any misconceptions prior to his making his proposal? What would happen if Mr. Bennet made an ill-fated attempt to resolve the issue of the entail only to create a much bigger problem for his family and Mrs. Bennet were even more of a shrew than in canon? What if Mr. Bennet had a secret reason to encourage the couple to marry quickly and before returning home? Will they ever be able to overcome the resentment that results from Mr. Bennet's manipulations or from Mrs. Bennet's subsequent behaviors?

Story
Darcy and Elizabeth's first year of marriage commences as idyllic as most newlyweds could hope. But soon, their tranquility departs, and together they must discover the finer art of compromise and understanding. This sequel trilogy follows the lives of Austen's beloved characters throughout the years. Come witness a compelling look at the misunderstanding, resentment, and frustration that marriage imposes on two very compassionate, yet willful individuals, but also envision the vulnerability, laughter, and devotion of a husband and wife very much in love.

How would the story of Pride and Prejudice be altered if Mr. Wickham had been a good man? Instead of becoming a scoundrel who regularly attempts to elope with teenage girls, Mr. Wickham studies the law as he originally told Mr. Darcy when he gave up the value of the living. After finishing his studies, Mr. Wickham finds work in Meryton with Mr. Phillips, a local solicitor and the Bennets's uncle.

Interesting
This book follows the trials, tribulations and joys of married life for Elizabeth and Darcy. Many others from the original P&P area featured, plus new characters. There are many interesting tidbits about medicine and midwifery, life in the Regency period and other subjects. I found them to be well worth listening to the book.

Absolutely wonderful!
The book is very true to the time. In which it was written… Some disagree with the couple choices but I absolutely loved the story told by Mary Sherwood. Stevie Zimmermann is absolutely wonderful, and I cannot get enough of her the way she portrays every character is phenomenal, and I can even hear her voice as I read the third volume to the trilogy.
For people like me, who are obsessed with Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth, and regency novels. This series was great because he gave you the story of what happened after the marriage not just a different version of it. I am blown away. I am saddened to see some negative reviews, but we are all entitled to our own opinions and this is my honest opinion.

Inaccurate phrasing
The phrase “rolled his/her eyes” was used over and over again. I don’t believe that it is accurate to the time period or behavior of the characters in the novel. Even if it were, it should not be used so frequently the reader feels they are in a room full of middle schoolers. Unfortunately not caught by the editor, this made the novel more difficult to listen to than to read.
