About this listen

After Elizabeth Bennet refuses the proposal of the most arrogant man in England, she has little time to ponder what might have been when a sudden carriage accident claims the life of the Reverend William Collins, leaving his wife, Elizabeth’s dearest friend, badly injured. Caring for Charlotte as she recovers, Elizabeth’s strong spirit pervades Rosings Park, much to the great dislike of Lady Catherine de Bourgh. But simply sending Elizabeth home is not enough as her influence over Anne de Bourgh drives the heiress to seek a future that does not involve an arranged marriage. When matters become desperate, it will take a collaborative deception between Elizabeth and Darcy to ensure Anne’s happiness. But once begun, Darcy and Elizabeth will find it impossible to resume separate lives without risking scandal. As a new heir to Longbourn arrives, and gossip spreads, will Elizabeth give in to society’s pressures? Will she finally admit her love, or live with regret? Interesting fake marriage of E & D

Really enjoyed this story. Wish it had been a true narrator like P. O. Dixon, Stevie Zimmerman, or H. Frost. I’m not truly enjoying virtual voice.

Elizabeth is not very likable

This Elizabeth is a real turn off for me. I love Jane Austen's Elizabeth, but the Elizabeth in this book is no where close to her in personality or likability. The story was not very interesting except for maybe the last thirty minutes but it was too little too late.
