Great Short Story!

A Murder Near Perfect by Steve Saxon pulled me in from the very beginning. Jack is having an affair with Veronica, who wants him to end his marriage to Marie. The twists in this book were so good! I did not expect the ending. Without giving away spoilers, the ending was spectacular. Eddie Leonard Jr did a great performance with this book. He gave the characters distinguishable voices. I could hear exactly who was speaking. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

small storylet

This small book is about sex murder and insanity. The narrator isn't the best. He could have put more action in his reading. I like the twist but could have heard more.

A Murder Near Perfect

I wasn't really into this story. It didn't really break any ground and wasn't really original. I listened to the audiobook and I couldn't really get into the narration either. Maybe it caught me at a bad time, but I just didn't enjoy this.

Near Perfect

For such a short story this was pretty good!

Narration was really good, voices used were spot on

This Story Murdered Itself

The best thing I can say about this story is that it is short. I listened to it more than once to make sure that I wasn't missing anything, I wasn't. The story was fairly weak and the conversation between the characters was on the level of most B movies. I really just didn't find myself caring about any of the characters or their motives. Even the twist ending couldn't salvage the story. Eddie Leonard Jr did a good job but couldn't breath life into the dying story.

Good Narration, Average Story

Eddie's done very well with this story to bring it to life. While the twist in the tail of the work is pretty good, the overall writing just didn't work very well with me - it has an odd feel to it. I would listen to other work by Steve Saxon but I'd like to see an improvement in his approach to sentence construction to make the leap. Please note: I received a copy of this work for review that did not, however, alter my opinion of the work.
