Wonderful words, Badly Read

This book is fantastic in it's telling of the value of immigrants to the United States, but the voiceover is KILLING ME. It's disjointed as if it's the first time the reader is reading the material. I find myself focusing more on the pacing and strangeness of the read than on the content itself.

JFK loved our nation of immigrants

JFK lived for many ideals which made our world so much better, love for the immigrants is one of those. From many, one. E Pluribus Unum.

Interesting insight,but trouble narrator!

This book gives details about the imagination of the United States and how the law has changed over the years.
I think one of the biggest insights is that imagination means becoming part of your new country and working hard to achieve success, not depending on the support of the government.

An Interesting Review of Immigration Through 1963 by JFK

This is an interesting summary and overview of immigration to the United States from our country's origin until 1963. Many of the issues our country is debating today is a variation of historical debates. Therefore, although somewhat dated, a reader can see that the issues are very similar.

I found this work to be very illuminating and I learned a good deal. The reading itself is good, but not great. There are some stumbles and mispronouncing, which are understandable, but considering this is a commercial product, could have been repaired with a second take. Overall I did find the audiobook satisfactory, but not excellent. Thank You...

An amazing listen with much depth to out current world.

I was very surprised that this book was so thought provoking and still resonates to where we are now in the US.
It is a fast listen but well read. It pulls no punches on how the US feels special.
It also stated clearly how we need immigrants as much as they need us. This should be in our schools and in our discussions. While I knew much on this topic, it was more than I thought and to learn from this was a gift. Worth the price and the time!

A wonderful book

A great book that I found to be developmental and maturative for a young man coming of age such as myself. I found this book to be highly relatable and generally intelligent. I further highly recommend this book.

Interesting topic, bad narration

It seems like the narrator was told, ‘hey, Will, could you knock this out before you leave for lunch?’

Narrator butchered the language

This is an important work written by an influencial man. The facts are amazing to hear, especially today. Will Stoff managed to mangle and butcher this work. Fortunately it was short. His mispronunciations, gasping breathless reading and his 3 tonal pitch approach left me cringing and flinching. I think he needs a speach coach, a rehersal and to learn the names and pronunciations in common use in the English speaking world. It was similar to breaking news on a bad cable news channel. To borrow from another literary title this was “ a good book spoiled”. Who edits these readings? For the money spent and the suffering endured I deserve a credit from Audible.
