About this listen

Nora Penderson is a petite young woman in her early twenties. Her parents were killed in a farming accident when she was eleven years old and was placed in an orphanage because she had no known family.

Through no fault of her own, she has been labeled an orphan and an old maid. She finds a newspaper clipping where a man is seeking a wife for himself and a mother for his three children.

Nora has been working and saving her money since she was sixteen and decides it's now time to leave Nebraska and go west. Little does she know what's in store for her!

Climb aboard the Overland Stagecoach with Nora and read Christy Webb's latest adventure of travel to the west where you'll find an exciting page turner of historical drama filled with cowboys, kidnappers, a hero, and tender romance!

not worth the listen

I can't handle the virtual voices. Very poor attention to punctuation. The story was ok but hard to appreciate.

Short and sweet

It was a perfect listen when I didn’t want to start something involved late in the day. I appreciate some about the virtual voice but wish it was capable of pausing when the story called for it. Maybe editors need to add more commas or something to give it such a capability.

Annoying voice

It’s a shame they used AI to read this it ruined it for me. I enjoyed the story line but I couldn’t really enjoy it because of the lack of inflection. I hope this is the last book I try to read with this annoying production! Yuck

The horrible narration

I got as far as I did on the story because I wanted to find out what happened to the main character but the narration was mechanical and without inflection. You did the author and the listeners no favor. You should have let the author be the narrator if you didn’t want to pay a professional.
