Publisher's summary

A biography of one of the most important scientists and mathematicians of the 1600s. Not only was he a brilliant scientist, but he was converted to Christianity as an adult and became a devoted apologist for the Christian faith. Of special interest to homeschooling families, this book recounts the recognition by Pascal's father of his remarkable talents and the provisions he made for his son's education - one of the earliest and most successful examples of homeschooling!

For Christians, the account of Pascal's conversion is particularly moving as well as Pascal's immediate response to share the Gospel with his father, his sister and even with the nobleman who was his financial patron. This book is written on a 5th-6th grade reading level, but younger children will enjoy listening to it.

Great read!

The narrator did a wonderful job. Blaise Pascal is someone that I want my children to know. Joyce has written a biography about a man that loved God and wrestled with his faith. Blaise points to Christ through his love of science, his family, and others. His search to fill the whole in his heart that we all have.

This book brings the pieces of history together!

This is a wonderfully written story on the life of Blaise Pascal. Joyce McPherson carries you back in time to the life of this amazing man, colorfully depicting many influences that shaped his life- philosophy, science, and culture, and politics to name a few. I am richer for knowing Pascal more, and have been spiritually encouraged by his journey through life and search for truth. This is a wonderful resource for both adults and younger readers. Joyce McPherson takes complicated subject matter and makes it accessible to everyone. I learned so much and highly recommend this book.
