About this listen

He’s no Prince Charming. That guy was a weak arsehole.

And Lord Rushton Smith is as rough as he is hard. A criminal by trade and bachelor by choice, Rush has great plans for his future and none of them involve a bride.

But when tragedy strikes the daughter of an old family friend, duty dictates that he pay Lady Abigail a visit. The problem…if only there were one. Abby’s new guardian is not only manipulative and controlling, he’s trapped the fragile beauty into a farse of an engagement.

Rush sees red…and he’s never been much for rules. Punching out her guardian, easy. But when Abby faints, he’s got a choice, and not being the sort to hesitate, he picks her up and loads her in his carriage. Problem solved.

But that is just the beginning. Her guardian wants her back for reasons that are more sinister than Rush could ever imagine. And in saving Abby, he’s burning down his own dreams one by one.

With their lives a tangled mess, only one question remains…can he be her prince after all?

This was good, but I don't like that the villain is still at large. I guess the Author want us to read the next book in the series in order to find out who it is.
