About this listen
From Bestselling Historical Romance Author Lily Harlem
For Lady Elizabeth Burghley, the pressure to marry is mounting. It’s irritating and tiresome. Her passion is to succeed as an artist, and if she does have to marry, she wants her husband to be someone she likes.
So when she comes across a shirtless, handsome, sometimes surly, Scottish gamekeeper who has a creative side himself, she can’t help but wish fate had given him a title.
Because, oh, they are so well matched, their attraction sizzles, lust rules, he understands her and she him. His eyes sparkle with desire, and when he reaches for her, deep in the forest when they are all alone, resistance is futile, and she succumbs to his seductive ways.
But resist Lady Elizabeth should have. Because all is not as it seems, and when the truth comes out, she finds herself in new lands, with a new future to decide upon, and potentially a new husband—but does she still like him?

Lily Harlem & Mary Philips = Winning Combination!
Lily Harlem has outdone herself with "A Scandalous Seduction!" This book is a captivating blend of passion, intrigue, and emotional depth that will keep you turning the pages well into the night. The chemistry between the characters is electrifying, and the storyline is full of unexpected twists that make for an addictive read.
What truly sets this experience apart, however, is the exceptional narration by Mary Phillips on Audible. Her performance brings the characters to life in a way that adds a whole new layer of intensity to the story. She perfectly captures the nuances of each character, making every scene more vivid and immersive. Her voice effortlessly pulls you into the world of the story, making it feel like you’re right there alongside the characters.
If you’re looking for a romance that’s both steamy and engaging, paired with outstanding narration, A Scandalous Seduction is an absolute must-listen! Highly recommend!
I received this audible book free. The review and opinions it contains are my honest assessment of the storyline and my enjoyment of the audio book version. Neither the author, narrator, publisher, nor producers have had any influence on my review.

Steamy and Romantic
Lily Harlem's "A Scandalous Seduction"
This story is an exciting mix of passion, intrigue, and depth that hooked me right from the start. The character chemistry is intense, the plot is full of surprises, and the spicy scenes are hot, although the spice near the end of the book lasted a bit too long for my taste. The characters are thoroughly developed, and when Tom and Beth each discover their true identities, you can practically sense the change in their personalities.
Mary Phillips' narration on Audible is outstanding; her smooth voice enhances the book's enjoyment.

Gorgeous narration!
So, first of all, the narrator. She’s gorgeous! Her male voices are very hot and perfect for the characters and she’s able to do different voices for different female and male characters. And she’s very good at narrating steamy scenes! Very absorbing and riveting narration indeed.
As for the novella, I really liked it: it’s beautifully written and I really loved the connection between the characters and their scenes together, both the steamy ones and the banter. But I didn’t like Beth very much, especially in the second half of the book. I think her anger toward Tom was unfair and unjustified. She came out as petulant and spoiled. Luckily Tom was level-headed and so in love that he wasn’t put off by her behavior!

Woodland Nymph, Oh!
Why have I put off reading Lily Harlem? I'm seriously kicking myself, because I really, truly enjoyed this. It's sensual, funny, a tease, and hugely entertaining!
Lady Elizabeth "Beth" Burghley and Thomas "Tom" Kilead, Duke of Farrington, both suffer from not correcting a case of mistaken identity. I really like the story unfolds and how they came to be acquainted before Beth is sandbagged into going to Scotland with him. 😂❤️🥵
I do wish there was more of this couple once they found the beginning of their HEA. It's hard to say goodbye while wanting, needing so much more.
I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is Mary Phillips, who is an absolute delight to listen to. Be it breathless, annoyed, from a distance, or ready to rock someone's world, she pulls it all off and had me feeling the excitement, exasperation, and more as the pages flew by. I look forward to listening to another of her narrations.
I rarely give out a full, unadulterated 5-star rating for narration, especially for a single narrator, but Mary earned it!

Brilliant narration!
I absolutely enjoyed this steamy regency story. There isn’t a better match than Beth and Tom!
“Truth be told, I not only found more inspiration than I thought possible, I also found the other half of my soul.”
This audiobook was brilliantly narrated by Mary Phillips! She brought this story to life with ardour and spoke in a different voice for each character.
