Kevin works as a scaffolder and is in an industry he believes, that is very masculine and close minded. He hasn't allowed himself to truly express himself the way he wants. He meets Perry in an interesting way and the friendship and relationship that follows allows Kevin to become the person that he feels is true. Kevin and Perry work through their own issues and become stronger together. I look forward to reading/listening more from this author.

This is a sweet and fun series. I really enjoy the characters and the story. The world it's built in is done well and while they all relate they can be stand alone though I do recommend doing it as a whole. Russo does a great job as usual.

Kevin and Perry. Even with a very erotic beggining, the story is about yet another scaffolder who finds he likes guys. Very sweet and romantic. Even at the risk of angering his brother Kevin can't stop seeing Perry. But he keeps it secret. The series is quite romantic. I enjoyed every book and this one does not dissappoint.

Kevin and Perry are really kinda perfect together! I loved how they met, was creative and fitted both of their personalities. Story is well-paced with lots of romantic moments and warm fuzzy feels.

This audiobook is the fourth book of The SHS Series. A tremendous book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. The characters were well developed and thought out. Perry and Kevin are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, family, friends, workmates, hiding, a bar, a surprise party, a jerk, coming out, games, hot steamy moments as well and so much more in this book.

The narration it was good. The narrator used a narrator voice and then character voices which made it easy to understand what was going on in the book. His accent fit in the story line. There was emotion and movement in his narration so it was not monotone. He had a good voice and ability to change it.

Here is a quote, “Perry placed the glasses on the drink mats and say down. “I have something to tell you too. You go first,” Perry replied, even though he could barely control his excitement as the full implications of his news sank in. “The last time I was here, I saw a guy from work. You said he might be gay, do you remember?” “I do remember.” “Well, it turns out you were right. Don’t be too smug about it. He got married a couple of weeks ago to my boss. So there’s officially a married gay couple where I work.” … “Now, you tell me your news,” Kevin said.”. There is more but you will need to listen to the book which I can highly recommend.

This was my first SHS book and my first by the author. I enjoyed this little romance very much. It is a low angst, happy ending romance which I like. I could tell when I was listening that we were hearing about characters that starred in other books and I really enjoy that in a series. I look forward to reading the other books in the series and getting to know all the hot SHSers.

Nick Russo is always a great listen and this case he does not disappoint. It did take a minute to get used to the American accent for the narration and then an English accent when the characters speak. As always, Nick has a wide range of voices that allow you to identify each character as you listen.

I read and reviewed this book back in January 2017 and jumped at the chance to listen to the audio version. I must admit that at first the narration bothered me a bit. The previous audio books in this series were done completely with a British accent. Rick Russo narrates this story in an American voice but then when the characters are speaking he switches to British voices. The more I listened the more I came to appreciate his style and really liked the audio performance.

I'm thoroughly enjoying reading the stories about the SHS guys. I love how H J Perry has written stories that can be read as standalones, but when read in order weave a more complex storyline. I sincerely hope she continues writing more of these. I can see potential for branching out from the construction world into one that now includes the stores where Perry and Jamie work.

I've also come to enjoy reading these books because they have a slightly difference cadence to them from what I'm used to. I attribute that to Ms. Perry being British but I don't know for sure that's what it is. Whatever the case, I can't wait to read more.

OMG.. The first scene into this book is Steamy!!! And then Nick starts speaking with an Accent!!!! OMG!! I did not expect that at all. This story is great in Audio!! I haven't actually read this book yet it's been sitting in my tbr list for a little while but I am sooo glad I checked out the audio version.. Really liked the entire thing, great story, great narration.

as always I love Nick's performance, and the story was very cute.
for a short story like this I was satisfied the characters are nice very sure of themselves loved the father in the story and the broader maturity as well... the sex scenes are nice and steamy so overall it was a nice book.
