About this listen

Miranda Lansing was known as 'the spinster who wore black' and liked to keep to herself. Whenever she had to come to town, she always wore a black hooded cape in order to keep her face covered so no one would see her true beauty. She had inherited a small cottage on the outskirts of rural Panguitch, Utah from her deceased aunt; however, there was a small curse that also came along with accepting the cottage. She had only recently learned how to undo the curse when quite by accident she discovered several gnomes who were living on her property.

Will she be able to overcome the curse and find true love, or will she be forever destined to live by herself concealing her true beauty? Christy Webb has stirred up the pot once again and brewed another delicious and tasty fairytale just waiting for you to take a bite! Enjoy and Happy Reading!

The premise of the story is cute but it seems the author couldn't be bothered with even a few minutes of research into horticultural details relevant to the critical event of the story, or chose to willingly ignore them rather than adjust inconsequential details of the he story. When fantasy is portrayed as occurring in the real world, or one resembling it, it's much easier for the audience to engage in the willing suspension of disbelief when unnecessary contradictions are avoided.

kind of cute
