About this listen

When a product launch completely fails everyone is wondering who is responsible. Alkali, an information broker, is one of those attempting to find a lead into what happened when a mysterious creature reached out to him in order to tell him exactly what was happening. Together with his partner Xander he goes off to find out who reached out to him and what they could possibly find out about the Kataze's business. But the skunk isn't just going to take someone poking into his business and with all the power of a megacorp at his disposal he makes sure that they won't find anything. With the help of a hacker, a Technomancer, and a Sim Den owner they try to stay one step ahead of Kataze and find out who is desperately trying to reach out to them. This is a fun romp through a furry cyberpunk world and features many people that are involved in FurSquared, a convention that is near and dear to me. I love the familiarity of the characters within the story. The individual quirks and unique brand of humor making each one come to life!
The fact that the well-crafted story held a mysterious and captivating suspense without being a daunting, nor an overly simplified read was quite refreshing.
I wish it was narrated to give the unique characters their individual voices, but overall it was a lighthearted story that I'd recommend for most ages.
