A Taste of Love Story
The lunch rush at Darryl Hansen’s restaurant, Café Belgie, is getting to be too much for one man to handle, and Billy Weaver is a young man in search of a job - any job - to support his family. Billy gains Darryl's respect with his earnest nature and willingness to work hard, but Billy's admiring looks resurrect pain and shame from Darryl’s past.
Until Darryl stumbles across Billy's secret, Billy is suffering in silence: His father died a few months earlier, leaving him struggling to raise his twin five-year-old brothers. Darryl takes Billy and the boys to the restaurant, where they’ll stand together to face the smorgasbord of troubles in their future…while Davey, Donnie, and Billy all worm their way into Darryl’s heart.

I really felt for poor Billy. He kept getting hit with issues left and right but Daryl was the perfect partner for him. I enjoyed the interaction with Billy’s brothers. Great story!
I enjoyed the narration for the most part. I’m pretty familiar with Jeff Gelder so I know that he doesn’t have a broad range of “voices” but he still makes the story enjoyable to listen too.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It is well narrated, well written and tells a great story. What other book might you compare A Taste of Love to and why?
Andrew Grey's "Bottled Up" would be a fair comparison. Both books have a somewhat similar plot involving a young, innocent, homeless or nearly homeless person being saved by a caring soul. Both are very well written and very well narrated. What does Jeff Gelder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Honestly, If it weren't for Jeff reading the book to me, I wouldn't have had time to read it. That aside, he is a very good narrator, and has a method that gives each character their own vocal identity.Who was the most memorable character of A Taste of Love and why?
Billy. His plight and dedication to his loved ones really touched my heart.Any additional comments?
Another great by Andrew Grey. If you have read any of his other books and enjoyed them, this one will not disappoint.Another good one by Andrew Grey
