About this listen

William Hope Hodgson was an early British writer of supernatural and fantasy fiction, becoming an inspiration for later writers such as Clark Ashton Smith and others. Published in 1905, A Tropical Horror takes place on the high seas, where a creature takes over a ship, preying on the frightened sailors and ravaging the vessel.

One of my favorite Sea Monster tales.

The sad part...
Yes, it's oh so short.

The good part...
It's sheer shock & horror grabs you immediately, and shakes you till you loose your mind!

As an artist, I have a wish to place all William Hope Hodgson's horror short stories into a sweet hard bound volume and illustrate every other page with a beautiful black and white ink rendering. Creating a vintage looking volume worthy of his words.
