About this listen

What happens when fate calls your name? Especially, if that fate includes a strikingly handsome stranger, who just happens to be a...vampire. Patrick never thought he'd meet his soul mate when he'd agreed to go out to a club with his friend. It was a tired scene, and no one seemed worth his attention. That is, until he tried to leave, but found himself unable to move once he saw the gorgeous stranger approach him. He wasn't even gay. What was happening to him? Justin hated the club scene too. Yet, that night, he felt compelled to go there, and once he saw Patrick, he couldn't leave his side. Perhaps it was going to be a one-night stand. But the night of passion turned into so much more, and Justin was faced with the reality of his unusual heritage... As the two young lovers discover the fruits of their union, will their burgeoning feeling help them withstand all the unexpected obstacles? Are they prepared for the future, now that the two of them will soon become three? Literature & Fiction Paranormal Paranormal Romance Romance Fantasy

story was okay, definitely a recommendation but otherwise it was good and I wish it went more in depth

mpreg or vampies?

I actually really enjoyed the overarching sweet romantic theme. However, there were so many missing plot lines. Conditions were right for the MCs to be fated mates but it was never clear if that was what the authors intended or if it was more of a mind control sitch? Conditions were right for lots of family angst but details were veiled and murky at best and never came to fruition. I basically kept expecting the details to unfurl later in the book but it never happened and was frustratingly disappointing.

The story line is more of a college pregnancy romance. Like young and in love. Forgot to wrap it before they tapped it. They all live HEA and are the most sickeningly sweet little family to ever exist. The end. 💜

Sweet-ish but Frustratingly Missing Plot Lines

I hated the virtual voice. So many spicy scenes ruined by the timing and lack of feeling.
The story is different. The characters were flat and I fell asleep 2x. I am going to check on reading it maybe I was so disturbed by the narration the story was ruined.

Ahhh…..no AI voice narration S**ks

Very, very abrupt. Like it felt like we were in the middle of a scene and then, “This title was narrated with virtual voice.”
The plot was a little meandering, and nothing was ever explained. Like we’d hear about something, Patrick would go, “I wonder what that’s all about,” only to pretty much immediately go, “Oh well I’m too stressed/happy/annoyed/etc. to bother figuring anything out.” Though I will say, one of the details we don’t know about Justin for most of the book was well done and interesting. It gave him a dimension other than “hot vampire” and wasn’t one I’d seen before. I liked it enough for it to earn a star back from 2 after the ending cut off.
Unfortunately the rest of the book is pretty boring because nearly every interesting plot point is ignored. The spicy scenes are decent, though. Another issue I have with the end (nonspecific spoiler ahead) is that it’s super anticlimactic. There’s a stressful buildup and then they’re like “everything went fine the end.”

So basically, if you’re looking for something awesome, keep looking. If you’re super bored, this works.

The ending was…

The virtual voice had no emotion...sounded like someone just learning to read...the storyline could have been good but not much depth...a real voice with emotion could have improved this story...

the virtual voice, no emotion

This book would have been great if it was not an AI narration. This book is more about the “steamy” scenes and AI just can’t handle those well.

Boring

So, so, so bad. I clicked on this because I’ve sunk to an unprecedented level of boredom and still, this was awful enough to make me have a greater respect for watching paint dry.

Dull extremely dull made even duller by AI voice
