About this listen
A weekend getaway leads an amateur sleuth and her detective husband down a treacherous trail. With Maddie away on a high school trip, Sheridan and Brett are looking forward to some alone time – and a long-needed break from work and crime. To that end, they rent a cabin in the woods, planning to enjoy nature and hike the trails in the adjacent state park. But their plans are soon derailed by the appearance of a frantic dog, its owner nowhere in sight. The insistent dog leads them to an injured couple and a lifeless body. Sheridan and Brett are quick to offer assistance, both to the injured and the local authorities. The hike was challenging enough, but the trail left by the killer is filled with twists and turns, bringing with it new threats and danger.
This is the tenth in the Sheridan Hendley Mysteries. It can easily be enjoyed as a stand alone mystery.

Entertaining story
A Weekend Getaway, Another Murder is book #10 in the Sheridan Hendley Mystery series by Christa Nardi. Audiobook narrated by Alyssa Baumann.
Sheridan and Brett plan a quiet getaway that turns out to be anything but quiet. A little dog finds them and leads them to a crime scene. This was a chilling case with a couple of surprise characters. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was excellent. I had no trouble distinguishing who she was voicing. I’ve read most of the books, but I’ll be listening from the beginning.
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Meeting of the Minds
I chuckled when I heard Staci and Sheridan meeting up and solving this case. The two smart ladies have their own series written by Ms. Nardi. I thought it was a hoot hearing this story. Alyssa Baumann did a great job with the narration.

Great Fast Paced Murder-Rape Mystery
While #10 in a series, this fast paced mystery centered on a murder-rape investigation would work well as a stand alone. Audiobook is well narrated.

Action, Mystery, Suspense, I DEVOURED this one TWICE! Sooo GOOD!
When Sheridan and Brett take a weekend getaway, the last thing they expect to encounter on one of the hiking trails is a badly injured couple! Things get … complicated, when the injured woman reveals they were assaulted, and further up the trail … is another victim! Perfectly paced, “A Weekend Getaway, Another Murder, is soooo good! Beautifully narrated and packed with just the right amounts of Action, Mystery, Suspense, plus a delightful surprise for listeners familiar with the authors works (lips zipped - but ohhh did I fist pump and whoop when I realized …), this one goes down as one of my favorites! It was absolutely PERFECT! The story, was not only engrossing and interesting, it was one hundred percent believable, as were these beautifully defined characters! I loved so many of them, especially those familiar to me as series regulars, but there were a few that were destined for a trip to the woodshed, as my grandfather would have said! The action was positively heart stopping, edge of seat perfect, and I loved every single second! I have to confess, this was such a delightful, completely, “everything I look for” PERFECT cosy mystery, that as soon as I finished, the first thing I did was go back and listen again, from beginning to end! I loved it that much! I loved everything about this positively, engrossingly, edge of seat, armchair detective, FIVE star production! My favorite of the series!

A Romantic Vacation?
I was as entertained by the tenth book as I was by the other books in the series. I cheered when Sheridan and Brett decided to take a romantic holiday as their lives have been filled with so much work. I wasn't surprised when they stumbled over a dead body. I struggled to figure out the puzzle pieces as they solved the case. I enjoyed the cameos. I'm looking forward to the changes which Brett's and Sheridan's relationship will undergo as Maddie continues on her own path. I thought Alyssa Baumann's narration was fine. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which included my honest opinions regarding this story.

Good Crossover between series.
This is the tenth in the Sheridan Hendley Mystery series by Christa Nardi. It is well written and plotted. I listened to it on Audible.
Sheridan and Brett are on a getaway while Maddie is away on a school trip. While hiking they are led to a couple in distress by the couple’s dog. The also find a dead body. The husband has been shot and needs medical attention. Staci & Michael interrupted a killer. The injured husband is a police officer. Turns out the couple is Staci Maroni and Michael O’Hare from another Christa Nardi series.
Staci and Sheridan bond over the search for clues to help Brett and his partner solve this mystery/crime.
I enjoyed the crossover of characters. Staci and Michael take a minor role and Sheridan and Brett carry the load.
I enjoyed every twist, turn, and misdirection as I read through the book.

A Great Twist Where Two Book Series Collide
I have become a bid fan of the three mystery series written by Christa Nardi. In this book, the two main characters from two different book series collide as part of a new mystery. The two couples get to know each other as they start digging into this new mysterious murder.
Step into this book and get transported to a different mystery where it seems no one is safe.

New author good story
I have just started listening to audiobooks recently. So I was happy to find this one.
Brett and his new wife, Sheridan take a mini getaway starting with a hike and are led by a dog to a murder scene.
They took the dog with them while other people were taken to the hospital. It moved quickly and was a believable story.
This is part of a series and I will try to find a few others.
I was gifted an audiobook code from the author. First time trying audible.com reader. I was impressed and that did not affect my honest review.

Worlds collide over murder and mystery!!
In this 10th book of the series by Christa Nardi, Sheridan and Brett are vacationing at a cabin while Maddie is away on a HS trip. Unfortunately, even getaways don’t prevent Sheridan from finding a dead body! After helping an injured couple, Brett is called back to service. He and Sheridan work on the case, which gets more complex as they investigate. Great series with well developed and likable main characters. The narration by Alyssa Baumann is outstanding. She brings the characters and story to life.
