About this listen
From the dark comic book universe of Sky Kill Assassins, comes book one, the erotic sci-fi crime thriller, A Wicked Haven.
Years after the fall of the most powerful crime families, the citizens of Corbindale Bay worked valiantly to clean up the town's immoral and corrupt reputation. Change was on the horizon, until a secluded harbor island off the bay, is purchased and transformed into an entertainment destination called, “A Wicked Haven”.
Two years later, the renowned police detective Ryan Swett is transferred to investigate two high-profile cases: A disemboweling serial killer and a backlog of missing person cases tied to the wicked island’s famous burlesque nightclub.
This book is intended for mature audiences.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

Loved the Full Cast
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. The full cast is amazing. I loved it. It was a bit rough in the language but it was appropriate for the storyline. I was into the story and couldn’t stop listening. I needed to know what was going on. I would listen to the next one.

Like listening to a movie!
I've listened to books before with music playing in the background but never with voices, laughing and action scenes! It's a fun book to listen to, the plot is good, well written and fast paced although some aspects of the book are a little cheesy- like the artificial intelligence "smart wall" and "smart car". The characters were also great and the narrator did an awesome job bringing them to life. There were some short steamy sex scenes, but I wouldn't necessarily call this book erotic as I've seen in some other reviews. If you're looking to listen to an adventure, this book is for you, the sound effects really draw you in and make you feel like you're in the book!

Great Audio Performance... Fast Paced Story
"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."
Quite a fast paced story, I definitely enjoyed the pace. Characters were interesting, and well developed. The story was dark and it’s definitely for mature audiences only. If you like an action packed tale with a healthy dose of NSFW activity, give this one a shot.
Narration was more like a production, and really enhanced my listening experience. There’s sound effects galore; made it a fun listen.

Great production makes for exciting listen
A quick-paced comic style noir with a gritty dirty town and a cop thrust into its seedy underbelly makes for an enjoyable escape. The sound production helps to keep the book feeling fresh and engaging with music, sound effects, and narration that makes the quick story shine. The cast and effects made the world come to life and gave a better depth to the book than I was expecting. The story and investigation itself is solid and keeps up the intrigue to the end.
An adult comic comes to life that makes me look forward to more entries in the series with hopefully the same cast coming together to do future books. Quick, unique and a great experience.

What an amazing production!
I have never listwned to an audiobook like this! I loved all the different characters. It was like watching a movie with all the short music clips and sound effects. This audiobook has erotica in it in case its not your cup of tea. That being said that isn't the main focus. With an excellent storyline to keep you listening and intrigued to know what will happen next.
