About this listen

This recording uses a process called the power animal journey. This is an ancient method of connecting with inner strength and power used by Shamans and healers for thousands of years. A power animal, depending on your personal belief system, is either an imaginary animal or an energy pattern in the form of an animal that represents the type of energy and power that is most useful for you to connect with at any given time.

This is not a specific animal like a pet you may have owned but the essence of a particular species and the qualities of that species translated accross into human terms. Once you have made the connection you can tap into these qualities simply by imagining the animal within you or by you.

In addition to this recording being written and delivered by Darren Marks one of the UKs leading hypnotherapists and NLP practitioners, it also utilizes brainwave entrainment. Brainwave entrainment refers to the brain's electrical response to rhythmic stimulation.

When the brain is stimulated through one of our physical senses it emits electrical charges which are converted by the brain into what we see, hear and feel.

When the brain is exposed to rhythm, the rhythm is recreated in the brain in the form of these electrical impulses. If the rhythm is the right speed it can begin to mimic natural brainwave patterns. When this occurs, the brain reacts by synchronizing to the same rhythm. This phenomenon is called the Frequency Following Response (or FFR). FFR is used here to assist people to rapidly access deep meditative states which could take years to master without assistance.

Access Inner Power (Unabridged)

I found this recording very relaxing...until he snaps you out of it. Then you're ready to roll. I found it best to listen to this one in the morning before work, or mid-afternoon for a recharge. Very [mentally] interactive. Can't say I've noticed too much difference in my personallity or actions, but slow gentle changes are good; they're more permenant.
