Adults Only, written and performed with an enchanting animation by Morris Gleitzman, follows Jake as he’s pushed to the brink of loneliness while marooned out on his parents’ resort. In a moment of desperation, he sends out a mass email hoping to attract some kids. What happens next, though, Jake could never imagine.

King Caspian II Enjoyed This Book!

What did you love best about Adults Only?

I enjoyed the way the author kept us inside the thoughts of the POV character the whole time without any breaks in the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The teddy bear. He always had such interesting and amusing insights! :-)

Which scene was your favorite?

Jake meeting the other children. I won't spoil that by further details...listen for yourself!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Jake's final decision was handled with particular delicacy. I can see why this book has averaged so high with other reviewers.

Any additional comments?

A definite favorite...even the "magic" rules made sense in terms of the story. 5 stars well earned. One minor blue note, but sensible rather than gratuitous. PG-13.
