Publisher's summary
The Adventure in Biblical Thinking Study series comes in three volumes. The volumes are a collection of studies of biblical concepts and principles. Most of my audiobooks contain several individual topical studies. My goal in creating the Biblical Thinking Study series was to gather the many topical studies into three larger volumes.
Volume one contains 22 short-length studies. Volume two contains 13 medium-length studies. Volume three contains eight longer-length studies. Most of the studies include discussion questions.
Each study includes a set of discussion questions. These studies can be useful for a personal or a small group Bible study. The studies could be used as curriculum in a Sunday School class, in a small group fellowship, in a Bible course in a Christian School, or in a home-school setting.
The content in these Biblical-thinking adventures focuses on basic foundational truths. The emphasis is on exploring what Scriptures have to say about the topics of each study. The Scripture verses are included in the text so the listener does not have to stop and look them up. The author's strategy is to let Scriptures speak for themselves. There is something special about hearing the Scriptures. The primary target audience is born-again believers who are seeking to be faithful and loyal Jesus followers. These people will be eager to dig into the adventure of becoming biblical thinkers.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV).
Dr. Daniel has a website - adventuresinbiblicalthinking - where he posts short articles about adventure in Biblical thinking. Please feel free to subscribe.

Story
How You Can Be Sure You Will Spend Eternity with God - it’s a big promise, but this short book delivers. It answers a host of questions, such as: Will good deeds help me get into heaven? Who goes to heaven and who doesn’t? What role do I have in my own salvation? Can I lose my salvation if I commit a serious sin? Is it wrong to doubt my salvation, and what should I do if I doubt? Dr. Lutzer takes many scriptural teachings and siphons them into clear, cohesive truths.

Story
The single most important event in a person's life is the new birth. Yet, this is also one of the most neglected doctrines in the church. Many Christians would be hard-pressed to describe exactly what the new birth is, let alone what it means to the rest of their walk with God. What happens when we are born again? Does everything in our lives change immediately? Is it just a kind of spiritual do-over? With a pastor's heart and a professor's insight, Lawson carefully examines the encounter between Jesus and Nicodemus found in John 3 to uncover the nature of this spiritual rebirth.

If you did not fear any man, or woman, or any living creature. Would you live differently? In this unique work of never-before-published teaching, Dallas Willard revolutionizes our understanding of Psalm 23 by taking this comfortably familiar passage and revealing its extraordinary promises: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.... I will fear no evil."

Yet we couldn't be more unaware that Christ and His saving and comforting work are being lost. Our minds and hearts are captivated in some way by those who often preach the Christian instead of Christ.

Story
At every Sunday mass, Catholics confess that Jesus came down from heaven ''for us men and for our salvation". But what does ''salvation'' mean? In this robust and accessible book, Scripture scholar and theologian Michael Patrick Barber provides a thorough, deeply Catholic, and deeply biblical answer. He deftly tackles this complex topic, unpacking what the New Testament teaches about salvation in Christ, detailing what exactly salvation is and what it is not. In easy and listenable prose, he explains what the cross, the church, and the trinity have to do with salvation.

Story
God's word teaches that healing and health are God's will for every person, every time. However, if you've been a Christian very long, you've probably heard some seemingly "scriptural" objections that complicate the simple truth that God is good, and His will is always healing... such as: Doesn't God allow suffering, trials, tribulations and evil? What about Job? Doesn't God use sickness to teach and mature us? What about Paul's "thorn" in the flesh? What about "God's timing?"

What would you give to spend an evening with Jesus, hearing him teach and listening to him pray? This is what we encounter in the Farewell Discourse of John 13–17. As the shadow of the cross loomed, Christ shared his final hours with the disciples to prepare them for his death, quiet their troubled hearts, and intercede on their behalf before the Father.
