About this listen

If you like a little Veronica Mars mixed with your Nancy Drew check this book out! Sixteen year old Kait Lenox has a reputation as the weird girl in her high school, mostly because of her ex-best friend turned mean popular girl, Ariel, but maybe it has a little to do with the fact that Kait has a hobby crashing funerals. At one of these, Kait is outted by the most popular guy in school, Ethan Ripley. Yet, instead of humiliating her for all the world to see, he asks for her help, and Kait finds herself entangled in a murder mystery. Not only is the thrill of the mystery exciting, but more importantly Ethan knows her name! A little sleuthing is well worth that! I really enjoy the character building and the romance developing between the main characters. The mystery is well developed to give you enough. Hence it’s good I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Fun good mystery!

I enjoyed this book it was a good story. I thought the virtual voice would bother me but it really didn't. Yes, sometimes the intonation wasn't perfect but the main character had enough personality and the story was compelling enough to shine through.

Good Story

I started listening because the title was so funny. I only expected to listen for a couple of minutes and ended up listening to the entire book in one sitting. It was such a fun story with no crude or explicit language. It was so refreshing. I’m going to listen to more of her books. I don’t like that it was narrated by AI because it puts voice actors out of a job. Other than that it was a five star read.

Such a fun story with no crude language.
