Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Educational and Engaging
My child has started expressing more interest in learning about religion and I am not that educated myself in it as I was not exposed to much growing up. I wasn't quite sure what the full armor of God was, but I figured it was worth listening to and learning about. I was quite impressed on how the author was able to weave together the stories and explain how to learn to protect yourself with each piece of the shield. I went ahead and played this book for my son (11 years old), and it opened up quite a bit of dialogue between us—a great book with a great message.

great adventure stories for kids
I loved the way the author made this so kid-friendly. It is presented in a manner that kids can relate to; exploring the full armor of God is a great sub-title that shows that God is the armor you need. Lovely Christian stories from the Bible are told in a way that kids understand.
