Divulge Your Secret to Save Her or let the World Perish

You can always find me listening to any good story about a man who will burn a world down to save the woman he loves, or does he? Jumping back into Aerisia we find Rittean trying to solve the hardest mystery of her time, that couldn’t be solved before, why so many elderly are dying. Can she figure this out before any very close to her are taken?

Enter The Hunter who she has always secretly (except to him and her father) loved so much who is willing to do just about anything to save her and what she cares most about. Enter characters we know and loved from before on this journey that, like a roller coaster might start slow as it builds and pulls us to the top, but the whips us through the plot and story while we have no way of guessing what comes next and who our villain will end up being. Ashwood brings us home in the best way possible and I can’t wait for the next installment to come!

Jaccyln James narrating is the best as her voice takes you right through everything the characters witness as if you are there perfectly. No one could narrate this better!

The Cost of Love

I enjoyed book two of the "Beyond The Sunset Lands" as much as the first one. Moonkind healer Rittean Wis’ Curlm noticed that Moonkind elders were dying in greater numbers than seemed reasonable. Rittean's search for answers put her in danger. The Hunter's abilities to protect Rittean were put to the test. I enjoyed being drawn into the world of Aerisia again. The characters were strong, fierce, and admirable. There was plenty of action and some edge-of-one's seat moments. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Jacclyn James' narration was great, and her performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review which included my opinions.

I wish I was part of this world!

I’ve really fallen in love with this series! I have listened to them all on audiobook, including the other series which also takes place in Aerisia, and the narrator is one of my faves now. This storyline is unique, I’ve never read a book with these types of characters and plot, so it’s definitely worth giving it a chance if you’re into fantasy and mythical creatures. P.S. You don’t have to have read either of the series that take place in Aerisia before the other to enjoy these series, they take place in the same world, but they are independent stories, which is really cool!

Professionally produced.

This had some interesting world-building, but was ultimately slow-paced. Between that and the proclivity for ‘telling’ instead of ‘showing’ a bit more than suits my taste, it just wasn’t for me. Not bad, per se, I just wasn’t entertained.

🎧 Audio:
The narration didn’t help with the slow pace, as it was more robotically read than performed. Made it tough to stay engaged. Overall sound quality was great!
