Informative but now I need to pick up gardening

I have been thinking more and more about how people in the past lived healthy and fulfilling lives. This book was good in giving simple recipes and tips about what mixture for what type. Now I am not sure is these recipes are strictly African American but if they work they work. I am interested in growing the herbs for the recipes in this book as well. I hope you get info that will last generations.

Emphasis on Self-Healing

I liked the emphasis on self-healing through vitamins and herbal means and the suggestion of growing your own herbs as well. I don’t agree with the idea of spells, potions or spiritual rituals that is incorporated, HOWEVER I found a lot of value in the medicinal side as well as the ideas for self-care such as finding what works for you so your hair is healthy. Definitely worth a listen.
