About this listen
Natascha McElhone was away filming in LA, with her two sons and pregnant with her third child when she received news that her beloved husband, Martin, had died suddenly of a heart attack.
Unable to accept this devastating loss, she began writing letters to her husband, telling him how she felt, and how she and her children were adapting to life without him.
The result is After You, a triumphant testament to the resilience of the human spirit. It is a profoundly moving tribute to Natascha McElhone’s three sons, whose appetite for life led the author through her darkest moments, and to their remarkable father.

Critic reviews
"A brave and extraordinary testament of bereavement, as honest as any I have ever read' Observer'Written with remarkable wisdom, grace and courage, it is a portrait of a woman fighting to reconcile death with life, and managing to do exactly that." (Mail on Sunday)
"McElhone writes with great honesty and without self pity.... A masterclass in graceful endurance." (Sunday Times)
I have always appreciated a great deal Natascha Mc Elhone as an actress as she is fantastic and absolutely stunning...but after reading her book I think she will always be one of my favorites. What she has been through not many could overcome, yet she did. I think it is also a powerful testimony for her children later on to cherish...When they would become parents themselves because what a wonderful example for them of what true love really is about. Definitely, a must-read!
A must read!
