Abridged—hits the highlights

Ultimately a fun listen. Alice’s thoughts can’t be included when the story is acted but the best poetry and conversation is verbatim.
Obviously you should hear the original first when you can pay close attention but this is a good reminder.
The unabridged classic is well constructed, you experience the world through the mind of a proper and precocious 7 yo girl along with her contemplations. The stagey overacting here is lively and entertaining but aimed at an immature audience. (The chipper modern American teenager voice does not properly convey the 19th century child of Lewis Carroll’s masterpiece. It’s a good listen but not a replacement.)
