About this listen

Robin Morgan talks to award-winning author, actress and comedian Alison Larkin. Having been crowned the winner of the AudioFile Earphones award for outstanding narration, Alison talks about her critically acclaimed audiobook The English American. Loosely based on her own life, it's the story of a woman, adopted by English parents, who, at the age of 28, embarks on a journey to find her American birth mother. Full of hugely entertaining reflections on the journey to self-discovery, we talk to Alison about the importance of family, the nature versus nurture debate and what the future has in store for her.
