About this listen

This seductive tale of passion and intrigue takes readers to 7 Mayfair Square, an elegant town house, during the glittering whirl of a London season. Here, with a little help from a most unusual matchmaker, anything is possible, even unlikely love between a nobleman and a confounding parson's daughter.

What Meg Smiles lacks in wealth, she more than makes up for in audacity and determination, both quickly harnessed when Jean-Marc, Count Etranger, and his sister take up residence across the square. Now gainfully employed as companion to the count's madcap sister, Meg discovers it is not her charge who occupies her thoughts, but the girl's enigmatic older brother.

When Meg becomes the victim of a series of strange accidents, Jean-Marc finds his austere world turned upside down. And when it becomes alarmingly clear that Meg's very life is in danger, Jean-Marc's desire for this unsuitable but enchanting woman overcomes his sense of propriety. He vows to ensure her safety, even if it means keeping her close to him, day and night.

Pale

Audio books are new to me.This was a nice story, though far from creative. I'm thinking maybe the unabridged version would have been more enjoyable. The story seemed to have been missing some....flavor? When it ended, all I could think of was "Is that it?"!

Nice historical romance.

What did you like best about All Smiles? What did you like least?

The part where she tried to rescue the cat.

Would you be willing to try another book from Stella Cameron? Why or why not?

Yes.

Did Anne Flosnick do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes, you could tell the difference between characters with her change in voice and it wasn't long before I recognized the characters by the different voices she used.

Do you think All Smiles needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, the main character can be the little sister as she finds her husband.

Ok

This was an ok listen. I have not listened or read this author before. I am not sure I would again. I might give another book a try. I thought the story was just ok. I felt it lacked in some areas...like it didn’t give a lot of back story to the characters and I felt like I was thrown into the middle of a story rather than the beginning of one. I liked the narrator she did a good job at reading the book. I would listen to another one she narrates.

So Bad!

I've never felt so strongly in the negative about a book, but this one is bad beyond belief! I usually like to hear Anne Flosnik read a book, but this one makes her sound like count chocula on crack. I had to slow it down to even make sense of it. I usually speed books up. That's only the beginning of the pain that is this book. I tried to listen to it, I REALLY did, but i couldn't even make it to chapter 3. Yes, it's THAT BAD!

The Butchery Of All Smiles

The narrator good, but the editor of this book should have been fired; i have nevr seen a worse piecing together of an audiobook. Save your money and buy the paperback.

Editor should go back to school

I have read this book in print form, and it's lovely. The editor cut out everything but the sex scenes, including a half-dozen interesting and endearing characters and most of the personality traits and history of the main characters.

The narrator made it all much worse, with horrendous accent and inflection.

Waste of Time & Money

This book is utter drivel. There is no plot. The hero and heroine are idiots, having no interesting personality traits, just pleasing physical attributes. It takes more than explicit sex scenes to make a romance interesting.

Worst book I have ever heard. I was almost comical in how bad it was. The narrator was horible as well the storty was dumb- don't waste your time!
