About this listen

Zombies vs. the KKK: The darkest hour in undead civil rights history. Allied Zombies for Peace covers the violent 42-minute time period that took place on November 11th, 1968, known as the Veterans Day Parade Massacre. This report outlines, according to eyewitnesses, the events that mark that day as a black stain on undead civil rights history. Violence explodes when a shot is fired during the 1968 Veterans Day Parade in Columbus, Ohio. Not knowing who pulled the trigger, rivaling factions, The Allied Zombies for Peace and The Ku Klux Klan, turn on each other in a vicious flurry of urban combat. Other groups join the fight, including the Vietnam War veterans, a peace-loving group of hippies who call themselves the New Revolutionaries for Peace and Love, and veterans of World War I.

What made the experience of listening to Allied Zombies for Peace the most enjoyable?

Mr. Nybo does an EXCELLENT job in showing and not telling. The scenes really came to life. He is AWESOME at characterizing the different voices! Loved listening to it so much that when I couldn't listen I had to get a kindle copy so the fun could keep going until sleep came my way!

What other book might you compare Allied Zombies for Peace to and why?

Can't say that I'd ever read something too comparable. But if forced to choose: I'd probably have to say D.J. Butler's Rock Band Fights Evil series!

What about Craig Nybo’s performance did you like?

He really gets into each part WELL!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

FOR SURE!

Any additional comments?

I was given an auidible copy in exchange for an honest review.

Zombies, Veterans and Hippies O MY!

The story is interesting, but the recording should be corrected. There are many mispronunciation of words and too many sentences repeated. Also there is a chapter 54 referenced which seems to be missing. It gets irritating when one refers to a zombie with barred teeth as opposed to bared teeth--it's all in the pronunciation, folks.

Recording is totally flawed
