About this listen

Jared Stone traveled out to the Marshall Islands to conduct research on why vast areas of corals had died out completely at Jaluit Atoll. While conducting research, he accidentally comes upon an old twin-engine aircraft on the edge of the blighted areas of coral. Intrigued by his unexpected discovery, Jared takes his dive knife and pries loose, a metal I.D. plate that contains the name Lockheed and the aircraft's number. When he takes the I.D. plate back to Lockheed in the States, hoping they will tell him who the old plane belonged to, Jared's troubles begin!
First, he gets the runaround by officials, who end up stealing his I.D. plate, and even hire Japanese assassins to have him killed! It turns out that when Amelia was shot down by the Japanese in 1937, during her around-the-world flight, she was taken to Jaluit Atoll and stumbled upon an illegal trading operation that was being run by one young American and two Japanese, before, during and after the war.
Prior to Amelia's flight, she met several times with President Roosevelt and members of his government in Washington D.C. When she was captured and put into a Japanese prison at Jaluit, she meets the American and happens to recognize him, as someone she had met previously at a government function in D.C. Knowing he was recognized, the American kills Amelia in cold blood.
When Jared finds the plane in the 1980's, the three men are now very wealthy and successful businessmen. The American was not only wealthy he was also a well-respected United States Senator. As soon as the three men find out that Jared, not only found Amelia's plane, but had also discovered a small note Amelia had written that identified her killer, if Jared goes public with his information, their lives would be ruined! They could not allow for him to live, so make plans to have him killed!
All three men were accomplished Samurai Warriors. One was a specialist in using a 5-bladed star for killing, the second used a razor-sharp garrote, and the third, the U.S. Senator was a specialist in using a large Japanese ceremonial sword as his preferred weapon for killing. Learn how Jared uncovers the truth about how and why Amelia was killed and how he manages to survive multiple attacks by the unrelenting Samurai Warriers! It's a diabolical tale of intrigue, WWII history and illegal business dealings between Japanese and American businessmen. None want the story of Amelia Earhart to be told.
