About this listen
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“A gripping tale of love and deception that kept me on the edge of my seat! Madison and Harper’s journey is both heart-wrenching and beautifully transformative.” — Emma.
It is a story of romantic deceit, acceptance, and then love.
In a world where shadows dance with secrets, Madison finds herself entangled in a dangerous game. Tasked with infiltrating the criminal empire of the notorious Ed Zwick, she must navigate a labyrinth of lies to bring him down. With her exceptional physical prowess and razor-sharp wit, she slips seamlessly into Zwick's inner circle, earning the trust of a man whose ruthlessness knows no bounds.
But fate has other plans. When Zwick's wife, Harper—a vision of beauty and grace—suffers a tragic accident that leaves her with amnesia, everything changes. Stripped of her memories and adrift in an unfamiliar reality, Harper becomes a pawn in Ed's ruthless game. He manipulates Madison into posing as Harper’s devoted partner, weaving an intricate web that threatens to ensnare them all.
As Madison steps into this role, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to Harper’s gentle spirit and quiet strength. Each tender moment shared—every stolen glance and whispered word—begins to unravel the carefully constructed facade Madison has built around her heart. In the midst of deception blooms an unexpected affection that ignites a fire within her soul.
Enter Zoey—a mysterious figure from Harper's past whose significance remains shrouded in enigma. Her presence adds layers to this already complex narrative, forcing Madison to navigate treacherous waters filled with desire and betrayal.
With each passing day, their bond deepens beyond mere pretense; it transforms into something raw and beautiful that defies the boundaries set by their circumstances. Yet as tension mounts and stakes rise higher than ever before, Madison stands at a precipice—torn between her duty to the FBI and an overwhelming urge to protect the woman who has unwittingly captured her heart.
In a climactic showdown that threatens to dismantle Zwick's empire, Madison’s true identity is revealed amidst chaos—a revelation that ignites a firestorm of betrayal. As Harper’s memories begin to resurface like echoes from another life, truths long buried claw their way back into existence.
In this suspense-filled finale, Madison and Harper must confront not only their love but also the consequences of their choices. Will they forge ahead together or be consumed by the shadows of their past?
Ultimately, Amnesia is a tale where love triumphs over adversity—a poignant exploration of connection forged in deception yet strengthened by unwavering resolve. Join Madison and Harper as they embark on a new chapter filled with hope, truth, and redemption.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Story
Bexley Simon and Sam Farmer aren't detectives, but they play them on TV. Well, played, past tense. The iconic cult hit that was Craven's Daughter ended five years ago, and their friendship died along with it. Fans were disappointed that the pair's legendary chemistry went unfulfilled—and other fans were crushed that the actual spark between actresses Bex and Sam didn't pay off, either. The network never intended for two women to get romantic, in life or onscreen, despite the fans. But the bigger tragedy was the loss of their dear friend, makeup artist Jen Arnot.

awful narration
it sounded like listening to an unedited recording with none of the retakes removed. same sentences, etc. repeated. couldn't keep up with the story. and it I have to hear "little did they know" again I might pull out my hair. I rarely review a book and I listen to ALOT of books. this one is just so bad I can even force my way through.
