Publisher's summary

Life just keeps getting more complicated for Cedar McLeod. As the recently crowned queen of Tír na nÓg, she’s trying to understand her magical new kingdom, even as she misses her life back on Earth. It doesn’t help that a dear friend has just betrayed her - a betrayal that almost cost Cedar and her family their lives. And things aren’t easy at home, either, as Cedar’s seven-year-old daughter, Eden, lost and lonely in Tír na nÓg despite her special powers, has become painfully distant.

Cedar vows to do whatever it takes to protect her family once and for all, and starts rounding up those who plotted against her. But then a new disaster breaks out: a mysterious sickness is plaguing the Unseen, Ireland’s magical creatures, including those Cedar knows and loves. With enemies still on the loose and not knowing whom she can trust, Cedar must race against time to reverse an ancient curse, in a journey that will take her from Tír na nÓg to Earth…and beyond.

Brimming with edge-of-your-seat adventure, Among the Unseen - the exciting conclusion to Jodi McIsaac’s Thin Veil trilogy - weaves an enchanting, captivating spell.

All three are amazing

Loved this series the and loved the characters I listened to all three in 3 days because I couldn’t put it down. Narrator did a great job only wish she could have separated the voices of the additional characters from the main ones but she still did a great job.

Great Adventure

All three books in this series were fun and exciting to read or as I do listen to. Three great adventures that had lots of twists and turns. Well worth the time. Enjoy.

Amazing fun filled series

This Entire series kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I didn’t want to put the book down, so many twists and turns, it’s an amazing story full of magic and adventure. Truly a great story for anyone looking for a new fantasy series to get into the characters are easy to fall in love with.

Interesting Finale

I am fluctuating back-and-forth with my feelings reading this and listening to this book. I got very frustrated with the queen Cedar and her daughter. Cedar made very impulsive Decisions which of course lead to ridiculous choices. Fortunately of course it works out but she acted like a teenager. As we know from the story the daughter thought she was grown LOL. But other than that it is an enjoyable story and well worth reading and listening to.

Excellent story based in Celtic lore

The series was fantastic with just a few plot holes. I will let you discover those for yourself if you can find them at all. I would hate to ruin the fantasy for you. I truly enjoyed reading and listening to these 3 books and imagining the stories I read in a contemporary light. The characters came to life and I love the relationships between mother and daughter, father and daughter, husband and wife, new friends and new lovers as described by Jodi McIsaac. If you enjoy contemporary fantasy or have studied a bit of Irish Celtic history the Thin Veil series will be a good read for you.

The Last Book of The Thin Veil Trilogy

If you could sum up Among the Unseen in three words, what would they be?

I don't think I could sum up the book in 3 words… would be too vague and unfair. Instead I'd say the book tells a story of a Queen trying to be good and realize that as much you can do you can only do the best as you can.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Among the Unseen?

For me was actually The God Thor being in the book ! I love crossover stories and since past of the book being in Asgard was a great deal! The happy ending … though I wish there was more of The Tuaha De Danann stories to be told.

Which character – as performed by Kate Rudd – was your favorite?

These is my second book (apart from the Thin Veil trilogy) by Kate Rudd, I love her performance, she can really convey the drama and feelings!!! I would say two characters were my favorites among many Cedar and Eden as a woman and a child Kate's voice can do wander and she delivers their adventures so well and their relationship is believable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not cry, but I felt sad for some characters. Some parts were funny. This book was more intense in a way than the previous books so I was quite drawn to the story.

Any additional comments?

The Book picks up right at where Into The Fire (the second book) ends. I enjoyed the fact that the author brought in many characters even if for a little bit. The story gave us a bit more of the life of Cedar in Tir na nOg and her drama to become a not only strong but a righteous queen. Our little Cedar also had a lot to learn…she had a big part in the story but the ending not much was sad about her and her destiny… I wish the book was a bit longer so we could have time to learn what happened after the ending…yes there is some in the prologue but in my opinion Id be content with another 30min at least hahaha …I guess its good that the story left me with this taste for more. I wish "Beyond The Pale would also come to Audible version… but since I dont know I'd get the Kindle version just n case.
I do hope Jodi McIsaac come up with perhaps a spin off story from one of the Characters. Or maybe bring over the Original Tuha De Danann in some prequel stories? There's so much mythology to work with!
Last thank you Jodi, thank you Kate and Thanks Brilliance Studios for you all great work combined !!! I enjoyed a lot !!!

This world is too beautiful to be done with

I have loved this series more than I can say and I was done with it too fast. There is so much more that can be done with this world, this series that I hope so so much Jodi does more with it. I love all the characters, the places, the Irish tales I had never heard before. Thank you so much for this series Jodi McIssac! I'm so glad I got to experience it.
