About this listen
Will deceptions, highwaymen, and a rambunctious eleven-year-old girl bring Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy together or tear them apart?
After rejecting Mr. Collins proposal, Miss Elizabeth Bennet assumes the persona of a widow and goes to Lambton to find work. But when she befriends Mr. Darcy's half-sister Rose and becomes her governess, she must contend with Mr. Darcy, a man she wishes to despise, and Col. Richard Fitzwilliam, a man she wants to love but cannot. With Rose's help, will Elizabeth find the strength to follow her heart?
Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy would sooner face bandits than return to Pemberley and deal with his stepmother -- alas, he must do both. And when he discovers Miss Elizabeth Bennet in his home, serving as governess to his half-sister Rose, things go from bad to worse. Col. Fitzwilliam is falling for her. Mr. Darcy is too -- or would be, if Miss Elizabeth were at all suitable. Will Mr. Darcy stop denying his heart before his cousin steals Elizabeth's?
Find out in An Unsuitable Governess, a standalone Pride and Prejudice novel of 64,000 words.
Warning! This book contains: one not at all wicked stepmother, one 100% wicked band of highwaymen, one rambunctious eleven-year-old, one deceptive governess with a heart of gold, one love-stricken colonel, one handsome gentleman in denial of his true feelings, one found treasure, and two happily ever afters to set your heart aflutter.

Story
Of Whispers and Wisdom is yet another sweet, clean, low-angst novella of 47,000 words. No major villains, just a gentle love story told from a Christian perspective in the usual style of Jae George. Excerpt: “Mama, I won’t cause any problems, I promise,” pleaded twenty-year-old Elizabeth Bennet pleaded as she struggled to comprehend what her parents were saying during their argument in the family’s small parlor. Her father’s words were easy enough to catch, but her mother’s shrill voice was garbled and beginning to give Lizzy a headache. While twisting her head between Mr. and ...

In this sweet, clean, low-angst Pride and Prejudice variation, Darcy and Elizabeth meet for the first time when Mr. Darcy Senior stumbles across Elizabeth on the estate grounds. Without a clue as to who this gentleman truly is, she is shepherded into the study to meet the young master of Pemberley. This 62,000 word novel is written from a decidedly Christian perspective although there are scenes of non-graphic intimacy between married couples. Except: “Father, what are you about? Why did you coerce poor Miss Bennet into the study? " "Please sit down, Son. Do you not remember our agreement...

One warning, two cautions, and a note: WARNING: In deference to a truth universally acknowledged that men do not behave the same when no women are present as they do in mixed company, this vagary does have occasional uses of profanity. The men in my life would consider it amusing but naïve to afford the same semantics of conversation for wholly different circumstances such as these, or they would should one of them choose to read it. This vagary proposes an alternate telling of the original Pride and Prejudice and considers what may have happened should the characters have been afforded a ...

When Elizabeth Bennet first knew Mr. Darcy, she despised him and was sure he felt the same. Unless one knows the value of loyalty, he cannot appreciate the cost of betrayal. What if Darcy and Elizabeth met weeks before the Meryton assembly? What if there is no barely “tolerable” remark to have Elizabeth rejecting Mr. Darcy’s affections, but rather a dip in a cold creek that sets her against him? Virtual Voice But Very Nice
Although this is a virtual voice recording I gave it 5-stars because I thought it was very nice. The story was very sweet with usual angst between Elizabeth and Darcy. Of course it is a variation; and, I, for one, do enjoy the alterations of the characters. I recommend for anyone that just enjoys a good love story.

So well executed, the best of AI this Author uses evaporates, the Variation takes flight!
This is a situation we can well imagine Miss Elizabeth’s Courage would take, after Mr Bingley & Mr Collins diabolicals to the Bennet family. A wondrous chg in Darcy’s attitude of suffering due to his Pride & Lizzie becoming a Companion a/k/a Governess to Darcy’s 11yr 1/2-Sister! Very cleverly done w/ great humor, kindness, suspense, Richard & Will’s heroism shows right from wrong. Lizzi’s dishonest portrayal of a Widow, experiencing shrinking guilt of her deception..relief at her disclosure. Just a great Listen/Read! Enjoy…

Excellent story!
Really enjoyed the story in spite of the virtual voice narration, which truly never conveys the emotions of the characters and situations and is therefore always disappointing especially when the story is so great. It makes me sad because audio books are so convenient for multi-tasking so I listen to the ones that have virtual voice narration anyway KNOWING they will disappoint because I don’t have time to sit down and read the story. In this case I will have to actually READ the book because it was so good and I want to experience it with all the appropriate emotions especially for Darcy and Elizabeth!!!! Besides I always read/ listen to great books over and over again. I just wish I could get Stevie Zimmerman or another great narrator to re-do this story then I could listen over and over vs. re-reading!!!

Quite a satisfying plot
Virtual voice is a travesty, a kind of murderer of this surprisingly well-written, intelligent and satisfyingly better-than-usual P&P variation. It deserves better narration. I enjoyed it completely, apart from the wholly inadequate robotic voice.

Felt like it was written by AI and then narrated by someone without emotion or understanding of British accent
The book started off well, interesting premise, but just meandered as if someone instructed an AI to make a book x pages long. The ending lacked humanity or an understand of what a HEA should be. It was just very bland. The narrator was just frustrating at times. Every time the narrator said, “mama” it would 100% lost the accent. I also noticed lots of small words were dropped and the section where someone with a more distinctive accent appeared was so bad. There was also just a total lack of emotion in the reading. Zero nuance. All in all, I don’t think AI will be replacing Stevie Zimmerman anytime soon.
