This audiobook shares stories and history about Ancient Africa. I had never been taught this until I bought this audiobook. I learned a little about the ancient hunters, the Nok civilization, and how they lived their lives in times when we did not have advanced technology. There may be a few things in the bible that I read that are not in this audiobook, as well as in the Book of Mormon. I've seen similar stories on YouTube that discuss this topic, but this audiobook delves deeper than the pyramids of Giza. It’s an interesting story, and the narrator best fits this book.

I’m honestly a little shocked at how little I knew about Africa’s ancient civilizations. This book filled in so many gaps I didn’t even realize were missing. From the Kingdom of Kush to the libraries of Timbuktu, every chapter added something powerful and thought-provoking. It was presented with respect and clarity, not overdramatized, just well-researched and human. It made me question why stories like these are so rarely told. I finished it feeling more curious, and honestly a bit emotional. Definitely something I’ll be recommending to my nieces and nephews.
