About this listen
Making enemies is easy. Stopping them from killing you is the challenge.
I’m more than just a Grim Reaper, assassin, and demon hunter. I’m also the target of subterfuge.
With plenty of enemies already, by assassinating the Nephilim who stole the First Bowl of Wrath, I’ve now made a powerful one. But I’m not done. The Nephilim are holding their cards close. Protecting someone. Who? Why? What’s everyone hiding?
The First Bowl released a worldwide plague. Nephilim, disguised as monsters straight out of lore and urban legend, terrorize mortals. And now, I’ve got a bigger problem—literally.
Something is wrong in Heaven’s higher echelons. No one knows why God released His newest version of the behemoth. Yeah, that one. Straight out of the good old book.
Armed with nothing more than my Angelfire magic, trusty .327 Ruger, and charming freaking personality, my next job is to take down the overgrown lizard before it stomps around the world like Godzilla going through a bad detox. In the past, this job required teams of angels. This time, it’s just me.
I’ve got an ex I need to mend fences with while also going rogue to uncover who’s tampering with Yahweh’s plague machine before it’s too late for seven billion mortals.
I’ll have to fight like hell to uncover my enemies’ secrets before they put me on the wrong side of death.
Angel’s Creed is book two in the Rev Carver series, an action urban fantasy series by Paul Sating. A spin-off of Paul’s Zodiac Series, Rev Carver has everything you’d expect from the massive urban fantasy world he built there. If you like mythology, folklore, magic, badass assassins, and sidekicks with attitudes to go with a dose of irreverence, put this Grim Reaper on your to-do list.
Fans of authors like MD Massey, Shayne Silvers, Hunter Blain, NM Thorn, Steve Gilmore, Kit Hallows, Jim Butcher, John Corwin, and Steve McHugh may enjoy Rev Carver.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
For some it’s an opportunity. For others it’s a moment to question their faith: In God, in science, in everything. Still others try to keep the world running in the face of absurdity and uncertainty. And then there are the billions looking to the sky and wondering how a thing that was always just there is now... something absolutely impossible.

Epic adventure of monstrous proportions
Received the audiobook version from the author that's beautifully done by narrator Richard McLarn.
Received as an ARC ( 2023 ),this is an honest review. For Rev Carver, is job as the Dealer Minister means every job he's tasked to fulfill is only one step from totally insanity. If it's not an asshole drug dealer unwilling to just follow the rules at the end of their life. Now Rev's superiors have handed the man with the epic shit of the task of chasing a monstrous behemoth deep within the Olympic mountains. Calling upon those he previous " influenced " to aid him, Rev knows time in running out before this creature does some epic damage upon humanity; and will do what he can to protect those involved, no matter what Rev has to sacrifice. Interwoven beautifully is the slow broiling trouble in the Upper world that will only likely cause both danger for Heaven and the mortal realm. Angel's Creed is the gorgeous sequel to Angel Assassin, a journey of wit through the eyes of jaded man who has a golden heart you want to love. Highly recommended.

A New Job for The Grim Reaper
I was entertained by book two as much as the first one in this series. I followed with bated breath the tortuous path that the Grim Reaper used in order to accomplish his newest mission. I liked all the machinations that kept the plot moving forward. I thought the Grim Reaper and his circle of helpers were intriguing characters. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Richard McLarn's narration was fine. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which included my honest opinions regarding this story.
