Good Mystery

I love mysteries, but I never expected this when I first started reading. The crime, Annette's involvement in solving it, and intertwining of the characters lives, kept my interest all the way through. Then the inspirational pieces and the romance just enhanced it all. Very good read as always from Ms. Hopkins!

The narration was good and enhanced the story.

Mystery, Suspense, and Romance

Janice Cole Hopkins penned a great book in Annette's Assignment, part of The Suffrage Spinster Series. Annette reluctantly agrees to help her policeman cousin gather information about suspected criminal activity. She enters a contest of great minds and things get complicated. Living with her grandfather and being actively involved in the Suffrage Movement adds interesting components to Annettee's Assignment. This story has it all, mystery, suspense, and romance.
I listened to a gifted audio version. Adam Skousen was brilliant. He brought unique voices to all of the characters.

Mystery and Romance

A great audiobook with a great narrator. I loved that Annette did something that she didn’t enjoy at all. Really spying is what she has been ask to do. She’s helping her cousin and trying to figure out who the culprit is that is doing criminal activities. She had no idea that she would enjoy her stay. This book is a very enjoyable story with a mystery and a romance. I loved trying to figure out “who dun it”. Read this great book and see if you can figure out who Annette really fell for and who the criminal was.
I received an audio copy from the author but was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Mystery Christian Romance

This book is part of The Suffrage Spinsters Series, a Historical Romance. I like this series. Annette and Enslow's Christian Romance is entertaining, and engaging. I like the mystery in the story. Adam Skousen did a good job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to more in the series. If you like clean romance, this series is for you.

True Beliefs

Listening to the audiobook of Annette’s assignment was a pleasure and the narrator was wonderful. Annette lives with her grandfather, but is independent and has a great mind. She believes in the women’s right to make her own decisions. When her cousin asked her to help in a case, at a great mind competition, she slowly agreed. She’s not one to go out in public, and prefers to stay home and read. While their host, Enzo is very attentive to Annette, she finds being there undercover makes it difficult for her. It seems the two of them are attracted to each other. When Enzo is accused of a crime, she questions her relationship. She needs to help him, even if she was part of the investigation. Can the two of them get past this issue and trust one another.I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

Does Annette get the assignment?

The perfect mix of mystery and romance, Janice Cole Hopkins pens Annette's Assignment. I love a good puzzle, and she created one that had me wondering, each person a suspect and just when I thought I knew, a different person came to the front. Annette's cousin asked her to attend a great mind competition to help solve a crime. Being the bright woman she is, she excels, and catches the eye of the host, Enslow, the one who is the main suspect. As they get to know each other though, Annette finds it impossible to believe he is the one. So she spreads her search to all the competitors. Will she find out it's Enslow and be disappointed? Will their mutual attraction be in vain? I loved the diverse cast of characters from the quiet to the boisterous, and the guilty is a surprise! Loved this whodunnit!

Adam Skousen is our narrator and he is fabulous. Not only does he play the various cast of competitors, but then switches to the female Annette with ease. I enjoyed his different voices, and the inflections he adds to throw me off the scent! It's a fantastic listen and extremely enjoyable.
