About this listen

Fumes leave my ears as I approach the black Mercedes.

I reach the car and knock on the tinted window.

It rolls down, revealing a man in dark shades.

Everything about him screams luxury: the expensive shades, fancy car, and high-quality suit.

"Excuse me, sir, could you please tell your driver up ahead to move his truck? He's blocking my business."

My eyes are immediately drawn to his beautiful lips. I feel my anger briefly subside as I take in his perfectly shaped mouth, the type I'd like to kiss softly to feel the lushness against mine.

He opens his divine mouth; his voice is deep, gruff, and sexy as hell.

I'm so enraptured by his lips and lusting at his slightly unshaven, strong jawline that I miss his words.

"You don't own the road; I'll do whatever I want." And the window starts to go up.

"Oh, no, you don't!" I slap my palm on his window.

I'm horrified at my desperation as I reacted without thinking first.

"Are you insane!" He barks.

I muster all my patience and calmly reply, "Move your truck now…. please."

"Not a chance. this is a public road; I can park my….

"Heard you the first time!" I cut him off as I slam my palm on the hood of his car, turn, and storm towards the front door of my café.

The stress of bad sales the last few weeks has me at my breaking point, and I don’t care if I just looked like a lunatic to this gorgeous man.

I refuse to let him ruin my day.

Breathe…breathe….breathe…..I remind myself as I approach my café door when suddenly I see his reflection coming up fast behind me.

I'm horrified; this is not how I want to start my morning.
