Encouraging and Practical
Having an anxious attachment style is isolating, shaming, and sorrowful. But Jasmine Cody's book shows us how to learn new skills that form permanent change. Her discussion brings an awareness that we are not alone in our anxiety and grief - we're surrounded by people who, like us, want security and love but struggle with fears of abandonment. And feeling this universality actually starts a change process. Cody's book is full of very clear, doable advice that changes the way in which we engage with others and develop lasting, calm, secure love relationships.

A New Topic for Me
I’ve recently been hearing the term “Anxious Attachment” and was curious about it. I found several books on the topic and chose this one because i thought the cover gave me a good glimpse into the topic. I found it an easy listen over this past weekend.
I thought the audiobook was insightful and practical for anyone looking to understand the term, and how it would affect individuals and would likely be helpful for those individuals to overcome anxious attachment in their relationships. The book is structured around actionable tools and exercises, including mindfulness techniques and grounding practices, which would help listeners manage anxiety, build self-confidence, and cultivate healthier relationships.
The narration is engaging and soothing, making complex psychological concepts feel approachable and easy to follow. I particularly appreciated the step-by-step guidance, which helps understand different attachment styles so they can take meaningful steps toward personal growth and emotional resilience.
Surprisingly, I concluded anxious attachment isn’t an issue I’ve struggled with, which is surprising considering my scant interaction with my father while growing up but i can see that for someone struggling with trust issues, overthinking, or fear of abandonment, this audiobook is a fantastic resource to help you break free from old patterns and embrace a more secure and fulfilling way of connecting with others. Two thumbs up!

Holy Cow! I had no idea!
This was a well researched book. I didn't expect the response to it I had... The author was succinctly able to boil everything down to what is most important, I was caught off guard because so much of it was exactly where I am in a very important relationship.
the techniques and tools shared in this transformative book are solid and if everyone employed them our world would be much better.
I highly recommend it - worth the read...

Inspiring and Impactful!
The author, Jasmine Cody, explains attachment theory in an approachable way, making even complex psychological concepts easy to grasp. I particularly appreciated the guided self-reflection prompts, affirmations and journaling exercises, which encourage personal growth through active participation.
The chapters on self-soothing techniques and emotional regulation are exceptionally empowering. The practical tips on setting boundaries, fostering self-worth, and developing healthier relationship dynamics felt both realistic and achievable. I found the real-life examples added depth and context to the strategies presented. I highly recommend this audio book to anyone who is striving to overcome a break-up or someone who wants to break free from being insecure in relationships.

Transformative and Practical Guide
This book is a practical resource for anyone struggling with anxious attachment patterns. The book offers a compassionate approach to understanding the roots of attachment anxiety and provides easy-to-follow exercises that genuinely help manage fears of abandonment, reduce worry, and build healthier relationships.
I especially appreciated how the author breaks down complex psychological concepts into actionable steps. The exercises are simple yet powerful, and the focus on fostering security and happiness in relationships is incredibly empowering. Getting to the root of issues is how I work and this is no bandaid approach. The more you put in, the more you will get out of it!
The Audible version is a joy to listen to—the narrator’s soothing tone makes the material even more accessible. If you’re ready to move past jealousy and worry, this book is an invaluable tool. I truly recommend it for anyone seeking to create more fulfilling and secure connections!
