About this listen

Danger and personal crisis on land, sea, and in the air combine with a level of spiritual warfare that is unparalleled in a Christian book. Crucible is a pause-resister thriller that runs side by side with the phenomenal Left Behind series that has sold in excess of 55 million copies. The world is exploding in confusion and terror following the disappearances in book one, Apocalypse Dawn. Meanwhile Army Rangers and Marine Special Forces are struggling to keep the peace while fighting spiritual battles of their own in the sands of Turkey and back home.

Bad to be left behind

This is a very good and exciting story. I got used to the whisper mode when they talk to themselves. Not sure why the military keeps bugging Megan. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

Great listen

This was a great continuation of the series. It built upon the characters, can't wait for the next part.

Vet: Oustanding Military Fiction

Any additional comments?

Are there really people giving this book about the Christian Tribulation low scores because it has too much Christianity in it? hahah! I'm a disabled war vet and I listen to a lot of ebooks. Military Fiction/MilSciFi and Military zombie/apocalypse are my favorite genres. This series by Mel Odom is easily in my top 10. HOWEVER, if you hold disdain for Christianity, this series is not for you, it will just make you unexplainably angry. If you're an open minded non-Christian you'll probably still love this book. As a veteran and a self professed Paladin for God, I can tell you that war/tech details and dynamics concerning faith/lackthereof are very accurate. The characters are engaging and the story line moves very smoothly. This writer, this book, and this narrator are truly outstanding. Highly recommended.
